Tottenham need new strikers, and I feel compelled to say something about it, by pointing out that our weakness is actually in DEFENCE.

---

totally agree and i have said it time and time again that we didnt get 4th last season due to our defence NOT due to our strikers... but it falls on deaf ears every time.

i also said we need to buy a cb because we dont know how kaboul will be... and even so caulker is not ready yet... again it falls on deaf ears.

so i agree with you, but dont hold much hope for you getting it through to people on here, with the exception of one or two, despite it actually being quite an obvious area that needs strengthening.

The problem with your lineups though, is that you could easily have the people deputise where you've left gaps.

I would argue that you can plug the gaps with Rose and Smith, which are arguably ready to make the step up.

that said, your 3 line ups are way off.

Your line ups are hilarious, as an outsider looking in, how on earth can you have Townsend over Lennon after the season he's had? Cellabos looks a good talent but isn't good enough to start IMO and as good as Carroll was in the U21s, there's no chance he's better than Dembele.

Personally, I think this sums up what we need rather nicely: http://www.dearmrlevy.com/dml/2013/7/8/target-strategy

harsh...

the line ups are total rubbish but the actual concept of the article is infact correct

I think we desperately need a centre back - I argued a case for Lescott a few months back but it looks like he is staying at City.

No doubt much of the criticism is aimed at :

----------------Carroll
Townsend---Bale------Cellabos

I just feel that with the 2 Brazilians we can include a flair player as the 3rd midfielder, and for me young TC looks like he could fit the bill.

I also think that Lennon's best days are probably behind him (young as he still is) and that Townsend is a very exicting prospect. Cellabos is a very skilled player and deserves his breakthrough into the first team.

To be honest I'm a bit disappointed young Pritchard has gone out on loan, because I don't think he's too far away either.

I think my line up is a pretty exciting one to be honest with you.

No offence, but are you suffering from heatstroke or is this mafs way of getting onto the spurs board:

Ceballos, Carroll and Townsend in the 1st team?

Lennon in the 2nd team?

Siggy and ade in the 3rd team?

An average RB makes a better CB?

henman hill. i have backed you in this article. but how on earth can you justify putting ceballos in the first team line up?

whatever you have been smoking, make sure you give me some

Zouma, Soldado and Griezman are 3 players Spurs should b looking at. Young CB and left winger as well as an experienced striker. All 3 would improve you massively.
Sell Parker, Naughon and maybe Huddlestone and Defoe.

no way would we get griezman right after sociedad qualified for CL

posted on 17/7/13

Your knowledge of Spurs and football is horrendous

United,

They would be good signings. Zouma is highly-rated, griezman is a good player and I've always rated soldado. Think with sociedad being in the champs league griezman might want to stick around this season and the club would be reluctant sellers after losing illaramendi. Soldado on the other hand I think is attainable

Almost certainly not, he's just a player I admire, would love him at United to be honest.

Defence is an area Spurs need to strengthen but I can't say I agree with your lineups.
