Terrific game to get the 2nd half of the BuLi underway.
Glad that it's back.
Excellent result I had a feeling (although tbh it was only ever going to be Wolfsburg away, maybe Dortmund away too, where Bayern lose).
1st half of the season unbeaten, second half winless.
Magnificent game by Wolfsburg, but Bayern are probably still in hibernation mode. Not a particularly valid excuse for losing like that, but expect them to pick up. Hope Wolfsburg put some more pressure on them though.
1-1. Bayern with 10 men. 15 minutes left.
Maybe Bayern are looking to save something for later in the season to avoid a repeat of last year's CL debacle?
By the way, just had a quick look at the stats from the M'gladbach-Freiburg game, they really surprised me.
I'd heard M'gladbach were one of the more entertaining and attacking side, but according to livescore Freiburg had 65% possession and the majority of the shots on goal. What am I missing? Please illustrate me.
Bayern and Dortmund gonna finish mid-table.
Didn't watch but Gladbach usually like to control games with plenty of passing and creativity, two strikers who are good on the ball and like to make runs. Maybe they were wary after Freiburg smashed Frankfurt; they do have the defensive ability and pace to play on the counter with the likes of Herrmann and Johnson.
Or maybe they were bad and lucked out
Read a report. Sounds like Borussia had the better of the first half, sat back once they had the lead and invited some pressure, but saw it out.
Thanks mate. Gonna be interesting to see how they do against Sevilla in the EL. Personally I don't think Sevilla are all that this year.
Surely the lowest scoring Matchday of the season. Cue Hamburg going on the road demolishing Paderborn 3-0.
I keep saying to myself they're going to get out of this mess at some point with the quality they have but that was as bad as it gets tonight I think. Their use of the ball was abysmal. They're just absolutely hopeless at the moment.
Confidence is clearly at rock bottom. They don't seem capable of playing with the same intensity as often as they once used to. They don't threaten teams enough and when they do, they can't finish. They're the 2nd lowest scoring team in the BuLi. This is Dortmund we're talking about. It says it all really.
Combine that with a defence which is a complete shambles and you've got major problems.
Dost's goals against Bayern were fabulous.
Love how Neuer is rooted to the spot
Gonna miss Freiburg's stadium when they move. Do they need to? Doubt there'd be a huge demand for tickets. Home end is a bit of a shed and the view is one of the best I can think of.
I know they've got Schürrle but Wolfsburg letting Olic go is pointless and has annoyed me
Nastasic is gonna be great for S04.
6 game ban (4 plus another two if he gets a red card in the next year) seems a bit much for Huntelaar. Definite red but I've seen worse.
