Who are any of us to judge another mans principles? If he wasn't a muslim and he objected to Wonga as he found it immoral would this be important?
was just reading that on the beeb
This is nothing to do with judging anyone just showing how he contradicts himself.
I like Newcastle so this isn't a dig. It shows he is trying to work his ticket out.
Na I think he'd just come out and say he wants out. Did so at Freiburg no bother. Probably using it as leverage for a new deal which in itself is hilarious but when you're the only striker of any note at the club you can do that.
Maybe he's just fighting the fight we as Newcastle fans simply couldn't be bothered to fight
You might be right about the deal
Pay me more and I'll forget my "beliefs"
I thought Newcastle fans fought horses?
Just the deby?

I widn'ae wear it either - no that I've been asked though. .

In the north of Ireland some soccer and GAA teams are promoting an 'opt out' donor campaign and the logos are being put on jerseys. I wouldn't wear it. I think making us 'opt out' from donating donors pre-supposes the state owns our bodies in the first place. They don't. We own our bodies. I agree there is a donor crisis - but the solution rests with getting people to 'opt in' by having major promotional drives. So what I'm saying is, is that yes - if I was a player, I can foresee a situation whereby I would refuse to wear a jersey. Even as a fan - I would refuse to buy jerseys which have this logo. Additionally, with aspects like the James McClean poppy row, whilst playing in Britain there is a certain responsibility to show respect to the host country but at the same time if that infringes on deeply held feelings, and remember he's from Derry, then I can understand why a young lad like that may not feel comfortable wearing such an emblem on his shirt. It's an interesting topic thread.
that should read 'donating organs'
Hartley, I disagree and think Brolly is correct. However I agree on James
hartley yer a fackin nutcase man, am tellin ye noo, yer a rocket, complete and total cuckoo's nest job, ffs you make me look sane
Organ donation should be an opt out thing, anyone who feels that passionately about it can make the effort to opt out....
Though I do feel they should perhaps also opt out taking organs of others as well.
The reason it needs to be opt out rather than opt in is people will not get around to opting in and it brings up the awkward situation of having to ask family members of the recently deceased for the organs of the person who died (even more awkward when we are talking babies or children)
Considering there are problems with getting organs that people need I can't understand for the life of me why people would rather those organs are rotting in the ground with the body of their loved one than giving a new lease of life to some poor soul who needs it...
I don't care what the reasons are, religion or grief or anything else it is pure selfishness!
where were cisse's morals when newcastle had Virgin Money on their shirts?
do they not do interest loans etc?

Ach good on him.
When I buy a football top(which is very rarely) I try to avoid having the sponsor on it. Dont like the idea of being a walking advertising board. Although the kit manufacturers logo is on it which is pretty unavoidable.
