the greatest comeback in a european final.

Now you are dreaming.

at least our achievment was made in this millenium.

Unlike your last league title. Also, we've been Champions of Europe more recently than you. Just how many things can you get wrong in one post?

That date wasn't just the first time United had conquered Europe in a while it was also the completion of an incredible treble.

Great name if you ask me, my best ever night as a United supporter!

what round of this competition did we get knocked out in?........Oh yes, it only involves 2 teams....what a trophy!
get your celebrations out the way now. beating a woeful man city who look no closer to building a "team" than last year does not cover up the cracks in your team
---------------------------------

Well seeing as it's a cup comp between the FA Cup Winners and the League Champion, you got knocked out in the 3rd round of the FA Cup by guess who and you haven't had a sniff of a title in over 2 decades so you got knocked out of that after about the first 8 games of the season.

What cracks are these, the ones that stopped us winning the league or getting to a CL final or playing good attacking free flowing football today? Or is it that we haven't mastered the art of playing hooooooooooooooof ball like you?

The most amusing part of all of this is that your own manager doesn't even consider this a major honour:

See here

Put simply, it's a glorified friendly.

The fact that United fans need to use Charity shields in order to overtake Liverpools trophy haul is nothing short of embarrassing.

We're still ahead and we didn't get to the top through financial dominance

It's a bit like Arsenal adding the Emirates cup to their trophy count.

Liverpool still ahead I'm afraid

hahaha, united fans slapped down by their own manager.

United stay top whilst other clubs including Liverpool wildly outspend them... its cos United don't need money to dominate we have a wily old manager who makes the most of his money not some crazed jenny who throws millions at anything average and english...

Don't worry about the charity shields, lets also ignore any other useless competitions, like the UEFA cup, cup winners cup, league cup...

Lets just base it on the main domestic cup comp, the main european cup comp and obviously the league... ohh United still win... theres a shame...

Last point Mr you'll never walk alone Webb, yes he won us that game by not giving us that clear penalty Evans should have had, face it Liverpool were absolutely rubbish that game...

I looked up clutching at straws and there was just a picture of a Liverpool fan..

That's odd, you rightfully dismiss the charity shield yet then go on to dismiss other competitions just because Liverpool have done well in them.

Lets not complicate things - let's be official here. The Charity shield is not recognised as a major honour but the league cup and uefa cup are. Thus, we can conclude that Liverpool have won more 'major' honours.

The main notion amongst the footballing world is that the European cup is the grandest trophy on the planet. We've got 5 and you lot have 3. You've won one more than us in your era of dominance - simply not good enough !

Liverpool win

Ohh my mistake, thought we weren't going to pick and choose and just going to dismiss those trophy's that are commoningly acknowledged to be unimportant...

What I forgot was Liverpool are behind if we count all of them....

But they are behind if we narrow it down to the main ones as well...

So lets just count this one... or maybe this one... what about the won more game in the 1800's trophy on so on and so forth...

Got those straws clutched extra tight ?

You're going round in circles for no reason.

What I said was simple - lets count those that are 'recognised' as major trophies in the eyes of the footballing bodies.

You lose as the charity shield is a friendly played for.... well.. Charity

Either we count them all... or we count the important ones.... or we could just talk about recent trophys...

Either way... United United United

BTW if you grab those straws any tighter it could lead to some long term problems with your hand...

7_the_best - you seem to have bought a whole packet of straws given your defence of this argument. Even your own manager dismisses the charity shield as nothing more than a friendly to get the fitness up. If you want to count it as a major trophy who are we to take them straws off you!!

It's no use, he wants to pick the trophies that suit his argument.

I merely said stick to those recognised as major honours.

His attempted comebacks have not just been in vain but have been painfully embarrassing.

Another manc schooled !
