I speculated that as part of this "relationship" with Madrid (keeping us sweet for Bale, money owed for Modric etc) that it could have happened.

But even then, I doubt he would have wanted to come to a club with no CL football guaranteed.

The biggest problem is Ade is not a striker. He plays an unknown position which I have yet to understand.

RDBD, I thought at the start of the season that you'll have a Player exchange + cash deadl coming in, Higuain + cash for Bale. Obviously its better for you guys to keep Bale, but given your partnership, I'm surprised you never put in a bid for Higuain

Lisandro is a good player but is >30. If you can get him cheap, would be decent.

What's the odds we sell Ade but fail to agree a deal with any other strikers and start September with just Defoe, Obika and Kane
