They do live in the past these wendys hopster. But I do agree with you about giving RNL and co. a run out. 4-3-3 I think with him and Vaz Te out wide, then Davies in the middle. I do also think, having played our first league game, Hillcroft will have seen where they could do better tactically. So I think they'll use this game to their advantage and try to concentrate on retaining the ball. There were a few nervy times when we could have conceded by giving the ball away cheaply at Forest.

We all know why you grow the cucumbers Dry.

Must be as painful as watching Third Division football.

The possession we had and way we tried to play against Forest, was encouraging. I genuinely believe the fans appreciated the way they tried to play. But the ball went square and back an awful lot, and didn't penetrate the final third too much. Tactically it's not difficult to break down, i.e. Hold in the middle and put pressure on the back 4. There were a few moments when we nearly possession in very dangerous positions. I'm sure hill will spot this - we need to make sure we don't become another Doncaster

We won't play forest away every game though. Southampton off to a flier, will make for a very tough opening home game

If it brings in a few quid fair do's ......but if its a measly crowd tomoz and we happen to lose like last season first up I won't be losing sleep about it. Everything this season is about staying in the 'ship ....not getting a few rounds in on a tin foil cup.

Ask any Brum fan where they'd like to be today regardless of the 2nd XI Cup they won and which is already losing its lustre and getting dusty in the trophy cabinet

so if we made it to wembley maximus you wouldnt be going !
personally think its a chance to underline the way hillcroft want us to play and they should put out a good side and keep the flowing football going.
friendlies are one thing but now we are down to the nitty gritty they need to make sure that they underpin the results so far.
championship players are a yard quicker and not many of these managers have much to prove so it will be a tough season to launch this brand of football so expect several hairy moments in most games, the players need to believe in hillcroft other wise it will quickly all start going south

Just read the preview on the Sky Sports website and they are saying that Hill has hinted at giving a few players that didn't feature on Sat a chance in the team (Despite the fact that the Sky site has no source of this hint that Hill dropped).

I don't really care which approach we take, I will be down at Oakwell tomorrow night regardless.

No we're not. Comically predictable

Absolutely dire. Not one player was up for it. Couldn't pass for toffee (in complete contrast to Saturday) and didn't want to shoot or cross either. Morecambe held their own without really having to do much. Must improve or we'll get trounced by the southern softies this weekend.
