My favourite old articles were the ones where a WUM would say something supposedly offensive, but then the first comment would be about biscuits or curry or some other food item and every subsequent comment would be about food preferences.

I remember, a WUM made the 'next year is yours' point so I just said 'I like curry', and so followed a long and drawn out discussion about curry preferences. The joys.

I make a mean madras and its really easy.

The following ingredients are per person and this is how I make it. Please adjust accoring to taste

1 chicken breast
1 tin plum tomatos (Naplona is best because the juice is thicker)
1 small piece of ginger (about 1 cm cubed is enough per person)
chillies - as many as you like
1 teaspoon garum masala
a little oil.

Method
Fry the shredded ginger and sliced chicken (I always prefer slicing a breast in about 1/2cm slices than chunks)
Once cooked add everything else and simmer until the tomatoe juice has reduced to the required consistency. Takes about 20 mins in total, including preparation.

Finally say grace and eat with pilau rice.

Oh, I forgot, if its not hot enough add a bit of hot chillie powder and mix it in.
