One striker Tottenham more like it, you cannot count Defoe, it went missing from Xmas until the end of the season.

Adebayor unsettled but AVB going through it with him. Sorting it out along with Bale to make sure that they stay at the club.

Chadli is a LW. Can play RW but ineffective ST. he is good, got good pace and skill and can do well. Could it be indications of Bale making a move?

Dempsey can do a decent job up top, Obika a poor player, Soldado would be a good Striker but can't see levy going over £20M absolute maximum on a Striker. But if you want Top 4, you will most certainly have to.

And no, as a spurs fan, there is no pleasing me even if we sign someone who scored 24 league goals last season.

That's all it is taken as a Spurs fan though now. The amount of rumours about Strikers, it's just laughable speculation for most.

LRF

Are you suggesting spurs are going to give Ade a payrise?

I guess we need Chadli on the left because after two seasons the chant hasn't worked and Bale has produced some decent moments from the centre. Even if to the detriment of the overall team/shape. The movement you suggest equates to 20m infield, right?

Laughable is a strong word

In Ade's own mind, you can imagine he thinks that Bale is coming to join him on his level.

Ade is a classic case of why performance related pay is a great idea.

Pay the caant per goal scored

Dempsey should have stuck to baseball!

We cannot sell Adebarndoor unless we have 2 new strikers coming in. Dempsey is a decent squad player whom I expect to feature mainly in cup games.

Rumours on Twitter that Soldado is close, just ironing out instalment of payments apparentley.

Last year I was worried about going in to the season with two strikers last season - especially as only one, Adebayor, is a proper centre-forward. I know people dispute this but I'd suggest to anyone in doubt to have a look at the amount of touches each he and Defoe has per game.

AVB was quoted saying he likes just two senior strikers and a third younger one, which was Kane. As it was we signed Dempsey, so Kane went out.

Be under no illusuon, we have lots of forwards, but are very short if actual centre-forwards. Dempsey, Siggy, Bale, Holtby, Dembele, Paulinho could all in theory do a job behind a centre-forward, but it is the actual centre-forwards we are short in.

If it is one in, one out with Soldado and Ade then I will be fuming. We need three options. Two simply isn't enough - if one is out of form/injured you are left with a single option up top and no way of going 442 if needed during a game.
