Chambers....

The Moyes out brigade are a bunch of spoilt brats who allow themselves to get worked up over the fact that we play Welbeck rather than spending £40m on any non-British under 21 who was once a mascot for the Barcelona B team

there is no "moyes out brigade" . That just just ridiculous. FFS hes only in the job about 3 weeks.

I wouldn't necessarily say there is a Moyes out brigade, but there are certainly a core of whiney little rent boys on the board who are seriously bitter over our decision not to employ Mourinho.

The main 'Moyes Out' guy got banned yesterday.

The other will come out to play when we play our first 6 games.

Fair article, can i ask why you think city and chelsea will finish above us?
Is it because you rate mourinho and pellegrini higher than moyes?

french there wasl always going to be some dissenting voices no matter who the club appointed and that would have included jose.

Odd that, we had to put up with an 'AVB out' guy all season.

not a bad article but the title is an complete exaggeration

I think people have focussed too much on the Moyes out brigade stuff and not addressed the content of a pretty good article.

I don't think people are expecting miracles from Moyes but it's also unfair to say we are gonna completely flop under him.

He'll probably end up steering a steady ship, however, it's a ship that has plenty of quality and is capable of challenging. It's also a ship that has ridiculous financial muscle.

I think that is the key thing people have forgotten. With Fergie would could afford to curtail some of the spending (that's not to say we haven't spent) and still remain competitive.

This may not be the same with Moyes so we might have to start showing our financial muscle to do the same in the longer term as we know longer have a wizard managing us.

The sole reason is simply because he hasn't managed a big European team so far. It isn't that he's bad, but because the 2 people in front of him have better squads and more experience

I've changed the title article

You'll have to change it again soon

More experience in Europe maybe, but nowhere near as much pl experience, and with better players than he's used to working with, I expect him to finish a lot higher than he did at everton

Avram Grant nearly won the league

posted on 27/7/13

I can understand some fans voicing their apprahensions about moyes lack of experiance in european competition but I think you have to trust the judgement of fergie and charlton in this appointment.
Everybody should be under no illusions that moyes will make some mistakes and there will be some teething problems.

Exactly, TCP, and Moyes is a better manager than Avram Grant.

Admittedly this United side isn't as good as the Chelsea side that Grant took over, but it's still one of the best squads in the league and full of players that know how to win football matches.

Moyes could win the league next season or we could finish third, it's too early to say. But I don't see this team having a massive fall from what it's been doing the last 7 seasons which is competing for the title.

We haven't even signed anyone yet either.

Apologies for the spelling.
I dont think Moyes will flop. Fergie was a great manager but his tactics weren't always fantastic. I actually think Moyes could improve us.
Of course that's not to say I think he'll be better than SAF. But I don't necessarily think we will take a massive step backwards under Moyes.

Robb who got banned?

posted on 27/7/13

I think about 3 posters on the United board wanted Moyes out straight away, one or two of them are questionable one is probably genuine.....

Didn't pellegrini out start trending after a friendly defeat as well, I am guessing the majority of both of them are opposition fans.

As to our chances I am fairly confident, as things stand I would finish us to finish behind City and ahead of Chelsea. Need a signing or 2 to really go for 1st.
