Look how well big money transfers have worked in the past? We dont need to spend big to improve the squad, whats the point in having a transfer policy (which has been recently proven correct) and not following it?
I'm not criticising the new players, I'm criticising the board because we don't have enough new players: new central midfielder and new striker- Balde was signed before we knew for definite that Hooper was leaving and wasn't intended to be his replacement.

This looks like it's definately happening
The club are obviously working on that front henk give it time and we'll see how things work out. We have enough for right now but will need the right players in before the next qualifiers.
I didn't say we had to spend big, I want us to spend a further £6million on three players!
Our transfer policy has been successful, but it has not yet been tested by the second phase: replacing the talent you've sold on!
Wanyama, Hooper and Ki- were sold for roughly a collective £24million. Excellent business, but we never replaced Ki (we didn't really need to in honesty) and as of yet haven't replaced Hooper or Wanyama.
There's time yet, I emphasise that, but if we're really replacing our two best players with mediocre players like Kayal and Stokes then we've no chance!
"Do we need to spend a lot to better ourselves ?"
If we want CL football we need to spend. Clearly we don't need to spend for domestic football.
However, our raison d'etre at the moment is surely qualifying for CL group stages again. Without this, attandances drop and season becomes a borefest.

I agree that will be the case as well.

We wont be replacing hoops and vic with kayal and stokes. It will be Hosiner and Ambrose.
Henrik and Chu, some superb points guys.
Is it allowed for me to agree with both of you ? !!!

Absolutely agree with that Henke but i doubt that will be the case,we will bring in some new players in the next week or so,if we dont question will have to be asked.
are you allowed to register new players for the second leg?
Izzy, I was trying to say that perhaps we don't need to spend to get good quality. The players I mentioned were almost free.
We need to bring in quality for sure, but perhaps without spending.
We proved it can be done.
I'd imagine so, Tim.
Why are we at home first?
Yes, we should be able to get there anyway, but when we do qualify the seeding conspires against us because we have not earned the co-efficient the likes of Madrid and Barcelona have; so why now that we are seeded in the qualifying process can't we be playing the return leg at Celtic Park?
Finnbogason, Boerrigter and a cm and I'm happy
Aye Henke it's a strange one, makes it a bit trickier for us if we have to go over there and get a result in the second leg, lets hope we can get a couple of goals at Parkhead and a clean sheet.
Barry Bannan?
£750k to Blackburn?
Why aren't we interested, he'd be a decent centre-midfielder to have as an option and is costing less than £1m.
Finnbogason. Watch that youtube clip someone put on here he looks class but maybe a bit out of our price range? I know im kickin the erse out of it with Hosiner but hes the perfect replacement if not a better player than hoops. Scores all kinds of goals even with his head and has tonnes of pace.
Would like to see bannan think he would be a decent replacement for commons who i think is entering the last year of his contract.
2-0 is the dream scoreline.
It means they need to win by three goals in Sweden, surely something that won't happen!
Bannan is nothing special. Chu I'm only saying it as a dutch report says we made contact with them, hadn't really thought about him till i saw that earlier today
4-0 get intae those meatball eating bassa's!
We should also bid £200k for Billy McKay of Caley- good option to have as a striker.

agreed i also think we missed out on Johnny Russell,we should've snapped him up when we had the chance.
