it was an improvement no doubt, i was surprised and pleased with the team ally selected, he has played mcausland at DM for most of pre season but played him in his natural position yesterday and he done well.
i thought Daly deserved a goal, he was excellent as were law and wallace.
if the players who currently startcontinue with good performances then i hope ally rewards them with a continual spot in team, my fear is no matter how well they do, they will be dropped as soon as sept 1st hits
with everyone fit i dont think there is a place for mcculloch either
Super
I thought Daly was great. Its easy to label him as a 'big target man' but he showed great awareness and passing to play others through on goal.
He was even dropping deeper into midfield at times and won just about every ball he went for. Really impressed with him.
I think alot of people were worried that he might play a sort of Kevin Kyle role but he is so much more than that.
If everyone is fit, I agree, I wouldnt play McCulloch but I cant see Ally dropping him.
The thought of actually having a squad with depth makes me very happy though!
thats what worries me about mccoist and he had previous for it last season, it doesnt matter whos fit or how form is, certain players will play regardless
I think I would make exactly the changes you suggest for forfar.
Law was great and really helped make our play more positive.
Is the game on tv
i would play gasparatto instead of cribari
super
Dont think its on TV. Last season the opening League Cup game with East Fife wasnt either, although it was on the radio if my memory serves me right.
It'll be on Rangers TV no doubt so you could probably see it online if you cant make it to the game.
It annoys me the lack of radio coverage we get. Either the best or 2nd best supported team in the country yet its impossible to listen to a game live on the radio. Talk about ignoring your customers.

I'd imagine with Law dropping out, MacLeod will get the chance to play in the middle of the midfield 3 and not out wide like he kept ending up at the weekend.
Templeton would be more suited out there.
Midweek friendly against Dundee this week too so I expect all the new boys to get a good run out against a decent opposition.
i think templeton will play up front v forfar with little being wide left
