Or Cesc + Rooney + Suarez.
£44m wouldn't get us an equal replacement so there's no point selling.
Cazorla is a top player and we wouldn't find one better for less than that.
Cesc has a release clause at €40m = £34m.
Jenius, according you it was £25m last week?
The rumour is 100% made up, cazorla isn't worth £44m as well
£44m wouldn't get us an equal replacement so there's no point selling.
-----------------------------------------------------------------
Are you serious?? Cazorla is great but he is only worth around half of that. I'm sure with £44m we could buy someone better with money left over. It's all rubbish anyway because no one would pay £44m for Cazorla.
Obviously it's a made up rumour, all these rumours are BS but we're speaking hypothetically...
No long Dong. The £25m is buy back. That means someone has to bid before we can activate that. But SkySports reveled that we also have release clause at €40m, we are th eonly who can activate that. and Barca cannot do anything about.
For the buy-back to work Barca have to accept an offer, ie agree to sell thats why it is lower.
No one's worth £44m but in todays bloated joke of a transfer market, our best player (at a club who is apparently very financially strong and don't need to sell) will command a transfer fee of at least that size.
Feck should we sell Santi. This is about showing a statement remember. Aren't we buying Suarez???
All the better if Santi and Cesc and Suarez in one team.
What's the point of having 44mill if it's not going to be spent ffs.
Cesc has a release clause at €40m = £34m
=====================================
This might be true, but surely Arsenal would've activated it by now if he wanted to return? Cesc wants to stay one more year I guess? If so though, what would be the point of hypothetically selling Santi for £44m when Cesc wouldn't come this year?
Of course Cazorla isn't worth £44m.
That's what makes the idea remotely appealing.
If the rumour was they'd offered us £20m, no one would take it.
£44m for Cazorla, buy Valbuena for £18m leaving £25m to buy Bender. If only it was that easy
Bearing in mind how mental prices have become this summer, how much do you think we'd need to offer to land Reus?
Transfer market is so inflated, everyone that's from boderline world class can go £30mill plus easy which is ridiculous. That price tag should be for genuine world class talent.
But if Arsenal have to succeed they have to go with the times, and splash out insane money to get the player they want.
50p, blame the sugar daddies.
We have 100mill warchest right? What good will 44mill do if it's not going to be spent?
Reus would go for 40mill I'd say, Lex.
Sell him and use it too buy and pay Ibrahimovich and Eboue. We'd be unstoppable.
Cesc wants to stay one more year I guess?
--------------------------
The point is someone in Cesc's camp was egging Man Utd on and in fact still hasn't said no.
Wenger said he last spoke to Cesc before they left for Asia. While they were on tour Man Utd lost out on Thiago and changed their target to Cesc. I think Wenger will find out whats happening this week.
50P-Suarez IS coming. #ITK Liverpool fans are in denial because of it. (U1147)
----------------------------------------------------------
If the market is so inflated what would be the point in 'splashing the cash'. Being frugal is key for us at the moment, we have come into a bit of money and it needs to be spent wisely not thrown at people who don't deserve it.
We have 100mill warchest right? What good will 44mill do if it's not going to be spent?
-------------------------------------------------------------
Why would it not be spent? the whole point of selling him would to reinvest it in better players.
Even if we offered £40m for Reus, I bet Dortmund would turn it down.
One Champions League final and they think they're a big club.
I think we all have that fear at the moment.
What is the club doing?
We have to start making statements now.

Well good luck to Arsenal for looking to buy world class talent at 'bargain' price.
Why would it not be spent? the whole point of selling him would to reinvest it in better players.
------------
Have Arsenal invested any money of yet? The budget is un touched. If it's going to stay there, what good will it be if extra 44mill is added, unless Arsenal are suddenly going to by Messi?
Apparently Real Madrid are buying Bale because they fear C.Ronaldo has been tapped by PSG and is not going to sign a new contract in 2015.
Those two french clubs have no french sophistication and are absolutely vulgar.
