Not a surprise really. Its been common knowledge Bolton need to shift players out to bring players in. Df wants to play 4-2-3-1 and the arrival of Moritz allows this which will leave only one starting spot between ngog,Beckford and cravies with eaves,Wilkinson and a couple of other youngsters as back up. Df has stated he does not think any of his forwards blend well as a partnership so everything makes sense. The sordell loan is win win for Bolton. If he does well he comes back a better player or Bolton get a saleable asset. Mears no problem him going but we will need replacement as with ricketts going and Riley injured would leave us with only 6 first team defenders with no obvious back up for baptiste.

Not sure we are cutting our noses off to spite our faces with Sordell. He never really gave us his best so maybe it's a good deal for all. Will this for some mad reason trigger a ridiculous move for Rhodes? That's a bit of a pipe dream really.

Moritz looks a good signing but we still need Spearing.
If Mears leaves has DF sen enough from the kid Wilkinson signed this summer to let him cover at full back.

Or to play devils advocate are we going to find by Dec DF moaning about squad size and quality. I hope not.

Dougie is trying his best to bring players in but he is having trouble shifting his squad players. There is little interest in the likes of ream, mills, mears,Andrews, sordell all players he would like to sell but we are stuck with them on the long contracts and high salaries coyle saddled the club with. The only interest is loan deals with Bolton still paying part of the salary.

You don't have to sell the damage Coyle did to me Benny.

Dougie has already said he is short of numbers
so we should now see players coming in,
but i cant see that happening unless we can move
Andrews and mills out.
Although i still think spearing will return .

Personally I am pleased to see Sordell go. He has been a big disappointment and his body language spoke volumes.

Looking at the possibly movers out and the problems DF faces reflects Coyles dubious transfer policy doesn't it?

Rumour St.Etienne could be in for N'gogo! Blackburn & Wolves have made tentative enquiries on Cravies. If we can ship out Eaves on loan to the Shrews then we could be ready to start the season with no strikers!

It depends on the money they will pay for NGog.

We can't afford to let another striker go,squad is looking bare bones now. Not counting the injured players and the youngsters we have 2 keepers 2 right backs, 1 left back, 4 central defenders 4 central mid fielders,3 wingers, a number 10, 3 strikers. Is that enough?

Benny, I don't know enough about Moritz to really comment on his signing. I am concerned that DF had loaned our only player besides Eagles who knows where the net is!!

DF may fall on his own sword if this bit of business backfires.

It is very strange that Sordell has gone out on loan, perhaps he just wanted to go back to London. I was very optimistic before this week began but I am now feeling worried.

I think Beckford will be our main goal scorer. He only did half a season at Huddersfield and still finished their top scorer I think.

Jobs for the boys. It back fired at Bolton but good luck to him.

Has that kit man we had at Bolton got a job at Wigan? Re sordell like I said before if he does well then he comes back a better player and we will have a saleable asset. If he had stayed he would have been in and out of the team all season and not really got anywhere. I don't think sordell is finished at Bolton for good yet and I hope he has a re call clause in case of injury. Can he play against Bolton? I know in the prem he wouldn't be able to but are the champo rules different?

Rules for that aren't set by the league, benny, the two clubs decide it during negotiations and 99 times out of 100 it is agreed they can't play against the parent club.
