He's worth whatever Real Madrid are willing to pay to take him from Spurs.

That is a fact!
Yes he's a fantastic player, but worth £100millon? Even £80

£80 would be a bargain

Lol damn iPhone, it was £80millon (obviously) and it was £55million
Real Madrid want more trophies.
Bale's a proven winner
Of course he isn't better than Ronaldo. But if Real Madrid are mental enough to pay in excess of £100 million then you can't expect us to turn around and say, "Hold on chums, he ain't worth that much, take him for £50 million."
Talk about missing the point
His worth to us is easily 80m plus.
Of course he's not better than Ronaldo but Ronaldo went for that price three or four seasons ago so if you factor in inflation.
If the grotesque spectre of Real Madrid are willing to pay the asking price for a player contracted to another club - more fool them!
He's probably worth about £65mil in the current market
I'm baffled why Madrid started so high initially when they knew it was going to be bid up by Levy
Torres was worth £50 when we bought him but he was on the decline.
Torres' decline started the day Rafa left
He is worth £40million but to gain his services would be as another poster said £60-65million at this moment, same as Kaka was. And really inflation? LoL he still isnt worth more than Ronaldo who was far more complete than Bale. But i tell you what who ever buys Bale in 12-18months off Real Madrid will get him for £30-£40million.
While Madrid would rather get Bale at a good price there is also a cynical side of me which is convinced they plan to break transfer records in order to boost their status as the wrestle with Barcelona to be the biggest team in Spain and the world.
I’m not saying they’d rather pay £105 million rather than £40 million but there is a point where they’d rather pay more. I dare say they’d be happier to pay £85 million rather than £79 million if it meant they once again smashed the transfer record.
The extra attention the transfer gets not only strengthens their own brand and status but also that of the very commodity they bough, in marketing terms introducing the worlds most expensive footballer is a positive thing for them.
Of course Bale is a tremendous footballer but in many industries you’ll find the unique selling point is the fact they are the most expensive, just look at some of the hideous watches young Arab playboys wear. A vulgar display of ostentatious dong waving.

Torres 50m
Rooney 500m
Suarez 750m
Bale 1 billion.
Ronaldo 1.5 billion
Messi 3 billion
The Torres transfer calculator.
Andy Carroll fits that scale perfectly as well:
Carroll 35m
Torres 50m
Rooney 500m
Suarez 750m
Bale 1 billion.
Ronaldo 1.5 billion
Messi 3 billion
Bale to Madrid does make Ronaldo to Man Utd ever more possible which is a bit of a concern.
Can you imagine RVP and Ronaldo up front together ? That´s a pretty scary combo and Utd would definitely win the title next season in that scenario regardless of inexperienced Moyes is at the highest level.
There's only so many goals to go around. RVP would never get the ball. That said add Ronaldo and no one would touch Utd, as usual.
Bale wont have much luck either at Madrid. unless he goes back to being a conventional winger and starts to supply instead of what he did last season which was score goals with a free role. That's Ronaldo's role. Bale is going a year too early imo.
Could you imagine Bale at RM trying to push Ronaldo off a free kick or stroll up to take a penalty?
It just doesnt look right does it?
Ronaldo gets fouled. Picks up ball, places it.
Bale: "Whoa whoa hold up there big man, I got this.
