I think we'll sign a top quality striker and another big name player, not sure in which position though.
P.S: Liverpool fans: this is an article on the Arsenal board for Arsenal fans to discuss Arsenal's potential transfers. It is also on the Champions League board which does not concern you, so those of you reading this are on the Arsenal board. If you wish to comment, feel free to do so in an amicable and sensible manner and have a reasonable debate. Most of you are more than capable of doing so and it enhances the forum greatly when fans of different teams can have a good, healthy debate.

After the Newcastle game, I said we needed a Defensive Mid, a Striker and pacy, creative winger who can go past people with trickery.
My thoughts haven't changed although, maybe a new full back/centre back is also required.
At this point I have absolutely no idea about number of signings. Still think we'll get a striker though. And possibly a backup defnder. Beyond that, no idea. Obviously I hope for more, but lets see what happens.
PS It is really disappointing (although understandable from yoru side) that a new article has to immediately be accompanied by a disclaimer for Liverpool supporters. The boards have become atrocious recently.
I am confident we will sign minimum 2 players and 1 player will definitely be suarez, the rest is a mystery.
Bale, Suarez, Rever, Gustavo and Mata should do for starts
I believe Surez will be sold but he will have to hand in a transfer request and a club will have to meet the valuation put on him by our club. Any club in this country will have to pay top dollar because we would prefer to sell abroad.
Your point about idiotic fans goes both ways there have been fans of both clubs spouting some sheet on this story over the last few weeks.
Suarez, Cesc or similar, Gustavo, Jesus Gamez and Adler.

Ok mate.....one last mention on suarez.
A serious debate.
Forget paper talk, because thats all it is....paper talk. Just ask yourselves this (honestly now);
1...why would lfc sell suarez to a rival to top 4?
2..even if (lets say) suarez hands in transfer request it can be refused....you understand this.
3..lfc owners...manager..md have ALL repeated that suarez is not for sale.
4..suarez has 3yrs on his contract.....we dont need to sell now
5..if there is a clause in his contract triggered by arsenal.....why is he not talking to arsenal?
6..selling suarez to ARSENAL sends out the completely wrong message from fsg and Liverpools perspective, they have been saying they want cl footy and will do all they can.....selling to arsenal completely undermines this club stance
7.. £55+M......like it or not arsenal are highly unlikely to bid this amount....and this is the amount br was indicating, not that he would sell om arsenal anyway.
----------
You see, I have said all along Liverpools position is extremely strong, in fact it couldnt be stronger.....the facts, not paper talk is telling all that will listen: arsenal to suarez=zero chance.
Young 4th choice CB
High quality technical holding midfielder/deep lying - may not be well known
Top quality striker -very very well known
Liverpool will take the money believe me, no point in keeping a player who has no interest to stay.
Suarez, a DM/box to box player, another playmaker who can play wide, a versatile defender and maybe a keeper.

Liverpool will take the money, just not from Arsenal.
If Suarez doesn't want to join us, why are we still in for him? We've obviously had a talk with him and he wants to join us. It's common sense.
I do enjoy a brisk walk in the morning
Listen guys, Liverpool will NOT strengthen Arsenal....absolutely no way.
If Suarez doesn't want to join why doesn't he just announce it and stop disrupting his own teams pre-season???

That's that then. Got Better has spoken. His word is final. We should start looking at other targets.
Those are good reason GB, which i understand.
But judging from a lot of transfers, most of those reasons go out the window if the player really wants to go. If the window is running out and its clear the player wants to leave, only one club is interested, and that club is willing to pay 45m. Its most likely the selling club will take the money. Especially as its unlikely to get more the next year or the same next year. (not saying this will inevitably happen or is the case, just another point of view)
I've been quite pessimistic about arsenals chances of signing him. But you have to admit, its no completely out of the realms of possibility as some liverpool fans are making it out to be.

The only club he said he wants to join other than us is Real.
Liverpool sell to chelsea, they will sell to arsenal, money will talk in the end.
There is little point in us selling our best players to Arsenal though if we ever hope to bridge that gap. Worst case scenario is that Suarez throws a tantrum and is left training with the kids till January, we would still get forty million in January. Arsenal have money and will buy good players this window but if it is to be Suarez it will take a bigger offer.
