or if Anelka isn't quite match fit enough to start, swap for Rosie and then bring Anelka on later.

Kalou would perfect that lineup, he really would.

but he doesn't seem to want to play out wide which is where I think he would perfect the team.

Yeh, few places reporting the Kalou deal is off.

We shall see though.

We've got a game tonight haven't we?

JP just needs to make a bid of £4m plus add-ons to suit the two clubs. All he'd be doing is spending the money now, taking on Sinclair as a permanent signing now instead of taking him on loan for the season and finalising the deal next summer. Sinclair is tried and trusted and would suit our attacking style of play immediately, and according to the Birmingham Mail, the guy is keen to come to Albion, and if we enquired about him last January, I presume we've done all the necessary checks on him. This is a real test of JP's ambition now, and Steve Clarke is watching closely.

Kalou I'm not too bothered about. He seems to want to dictate where he plays, and I wouldn't be too happy about that if he's liable to start throwing his toys out of the pram if SC wants to play him wide. Plus he's happy with his coach at Lille and getting first-team football there and maximising his chances of making the Ivory Coast World Cup team in Brazil - and fair enough. I only want players who want to play for Albion.

Agree entirely on Sinclair Aries.

Personally love Kalou here aswell though. Would be a major coup. Will be more than a little annoyed if JP's penny pinching gets us neither.

P.s brilliant cup draw btw

Yes JH, I agree Kalou is a great target to have, and as you say, I will be really annoyed, but not half as annoyed as Steve Clarke, if we don't land Sinclair now.
Newport at home in the League Cup is good. Glad we avoided that lot up the A41 - possible banana skin there. Oh wait.....

Yeh,

We know Clarkey wants players. Numerous occasions he and his staff have come out and said as much.

He isn't just a 'yes' man who will take it
