I really wanna see you play Arsenal, you've not played them since 06.
If not then Milan would be a good game if they sack Allegri and get a defender.
if we play milan i expect a 5-0 in bernabeu to avenge 1989 semi final...one of the matches that upset me most in my youth
with this milan side, i think madrid could turn them over by a big scoreline at home if they met
Yeah their defence is shocking.
They're getting Adil Rami in Jan which could improve it but Zapata and Mexes are rubbish and Allegri is a clown and plays Kevin Constant at left back.
When was the last time you played Milan? I remember you playing them in the group a few years ago and Pato gave you a hard time.
not long ago.. just a couple of seasons ago i think...
even though the italians are no where near the best teams in europe anymore...we still have trouble with them !
Juve should have taken alot more than 1 pt in the 2 group games against madrid
Yeah that's true. Ancelotti back at the San Siro could be tasty.
actually i want zenit !
havent impressed me
i wonder when the russian clubs will start to do something in the CL
Yeah I don't think they are that good.
For all the money the Russian sides spend they are pretty crap. I suppose they do just massively overpay for players that aren't that good.
I mean what, 40 million Euros for Hulk? You're having a laugh.
Neymar's second goal was class.
Oh my god, Raul Garcia's was even better.
Hey guys, just a question. Do you think Cazorla will be left out again during the world cup because of poor form in a world cup year? I am now starting to REALLY WORRIED about his form.
I was expecting a team containing Ozil and Cazorla to be really good to watch this season, as of yet I've been really underwhelmed, particularly from Cazorla.
Imagine if he didn't make the world cup!
Yeah me too! I expected great stuff when they played together but so far...
Cazorla did miss the other world cup due to poor form and atm he doesnt look like hes going to Brazil.
I think one of the problems with it is that you don't have the right type of striker for them to thrive.
They need runners and whenever I've watched you, especially without Walcott, they play the ball into Giroud who looks for runners off of him from midfielder rather than him looking to get in behind and let those two find him with passes.
Probably one of the reasons Ramsey has been scoring so much as he seems to be thriving off of Giroud's play whereas I think he's limiting Cazorla and Ozil.
Yeah that's true, but he did have a lot of injuries that season if I remember rightly. Still plenty of time for him to get up to speed.
Spot on! Giroud might not be the type of striker they need to thrive and our play has also been hampered by a lack of wingers. With Theo back that could change but he banged Wengers daughter from what I gather
There's also the lack of Podolski, who I also think would help those two benefit.
I suppose it hasn't been too big an issue seeing as you're still top, but in terms of style of play and how to get the best from them two I think you need some more direct players.
Sometimes you can have too many playmakers and it doesn't work all that good.
Is Walcott being eased on or do you think Wenger is reluctant to change a winning side?
I honestly have no idea! The only reasonable explanation I can give is that he is saving him with the next fixtures in mind. Cant wait for those two to return but it may also affect our passing game with less playmakers. BTW Ozil has been class! He is a very subtle player but our brilliant passing game hasnt been an accident.
Ok, tah.
I've been underwhelmed by Ozil. I know he's helped your passing game but individually he's not been as impressive as he can be, and I think that is down to lack of options in front of him, as well as being out on the wing a lot more than he should - didn't think he was half the player on the wing at Madrid that he is in the centre.
I know he moved around a lot but when I've seen you he seems to be on the right a lot more than the middle. I'm sure with Walcott back he'll move into the middle and that'll help him improve his own performances - perhaps to the detriment of your passing game but you'll probably be a bigger threat going forward.
As good as Walcott is I think for Arsenal to really reach the next level they need a player with similar direct attributes and the ability to finish but with a better passing game. Reus would be ideal.

Oh I'm not knocking him, he's a good player for Arsenal, and I agree you have bigger priorities, I just feel that to become one of Europe's elite a better version of him would be needed.
Arsenal aren't that far away from being a big player in Europe and the league, if they can continue developing.
Funny how quick things can change in football. I never thought I'd be saying that about Arsenal last season and then looking at my own team and seeing how far away from the very best we are.

Wump, he didn't miss it due to poor form. He missed it because he was out most of the season after surgery on a slipped disc that he took a long time recovering from. He only made it back a few games before the end of the season, but was in scintillating form. Del Boy didn't select him because Iniesta and Torres were both carrying injuries and he said that it would be too much of a risk to take any more players with injury doubts over their heads.
Cazorla will pick it up I'm sure, can't see such a gifted player going through anything more than a poor patch of form.
hmmm was that him or Senna with the injuries? I agree with you though that a gifted player such as him can be poor for too long.

Both had injury trouble in the two seasons leading up to the World Cup. Cazorla he broke his ankle either playing or just before - can't remember exactly - playing Arsenal in the CL in 09, made a miraculously fast recovery in time to make for the 2009 Confeds squad, but then had all that back trouble the following season. He actually made fewer appearances than Senna that year.
