Add to CR and Bale when fit, and that's too many players who scarcely contribute to the defensive equation. That's why he's slotted Di María into the AM position in some of the recent games; he's not that creative, but he'll chase down every ball and track back as much as necessary.

It's a bit stupid, but over here if the ref reports a certain incident, the appeals committee can only judge what happened against the report - if the report is wrong, then then booking is overruled.

That said, it wasn't just raising his hand, it was actually a scratch. I had my doubt with the footage shown, but last night I saw further footage of the incident with Iturraspe in the brawl that took place immediately afterwards. Apart from the headbutting, it showed CR ALSO scratching Iturraspe's face.

Regardless of whether or not he's banned or the length of the ban, I found it very disappointing from CR. In recent times he'd cut most of that sort of stuff out of his game, but brought it back at a vital moment, in a very tough match just when we were in a position to leapfrog barça in the table.

Sorry, forgot to add that the committee CAN however look into incidents that the ref didn't report. As he walked off the pitch, CR made a "what a cheek" gesture which, if understood to be about at the ref could entail a further 2-4 game ban. Would be plausible to understand that it was in reference to Gurpegi, so I imagine that's what Madrid would argue if the committee decides to impose a ban for that.

Good solid performance. I was getting tired so once we got the third goal I went to bed...apparently missed an amazing goal for Osasuna though.
