Wow Dan, that's a big accusation to make (and suonds pretty far-fetched too)...any idea where these rumours have come from?

For those of you who don't speak Spanish, the link basically says that a lot of Barça players went partying in Manchester after the match against City, that some got back totally out of their heads and that some others even missed the team's flight back. Martino punished them by leaving them out of the side vs R Sociedad except for Piqué, who he told "You're going to play, and if you make a fool of yourself it'll be there for everyone to see."

It does sound very imaginative tbh.

Another Villarreal fan.

Got to be Bilbao, would love to see them make it into the CL for the Basque only philosophy they have going on.

I would find it very refreshing compaired to the City, PSG, Monaco and Chelsea's of this world who have pretty much sold their soul.

But i would not grudge Villarreal, they are an equally good story as they are really such a small club from a small city. The CL cash would mean way more to them as i believe Bilbao are pretty health financially. Hope thats not to contradictory to the point above.

Yeah, even though I'm a Madrid fan I have a lot of respect and admiration for both sides - and, too, for Real Sociedad, who despite departing from their Basque policy long ago, have done incredibly well to reach the CL with 17 players coming through their own academy. It's one of those season's where I can't make up my mind which side I'd prefer to take up that last CL slot, as I think they all deserve it in their own way.
