He doesn't seem to have had too many options did he? After we rejected the sign to sign him he was very likely to join a premier league club and I think it was between Chelsea and City. After winning the FA CUP and getting almost all the fans back on board, if Wenger messes up this transfer window and we end up a few players short again, there is no way he will survive unless he wins the league next year by some miracle.

Cesc

If he didn't care who he wound up he should've joined Madrid.

Sad to see Cesc head back to the PL, but fúck Barça, they totally wasted his talent.

Really gutsy move from Wenger here.

If Fabregas plays regularly for Mourinho, Wenger will need to have a better season than Chelsea. The stick he'll get will be incredible if not.

Sadly, we won't.

Might just be borne out of Wenger's pride, a sort of "We don't need you" to Cesc...which would only motivate him more.

I really do not want to believe that that is the case. If it is, then this is one of the biggest mistakes of Wenger's career.

Second to signing Silvestre.

However, I do believe it was for "footballing" reasons.

Goool! Brasil!

Not bad as far as World Cup openers go. Great goal by Oscar, best player on the pitch tonight imo.

Modric was brilliant too 2nd half.

Brazil faded badly in the 2nd half. Peno was a disgrace, was it the same ref that gave Pepe's vs Elche?

It was a Spanish ref? I watch a lot of footie and I can comfortably say Spanish refs are the worst refs I have seen. How can that be a peno really?

I remember the last game of the 12/13 season where Valencia needed to beat Sevilla. Ref just kept giving Sevilla freekicks, a pen, sent off a Valencia player and denied them a clear pen! If there has ever been a bent ref it was that one.

It was actually a Japanese ref so it can't be the same ref ioag.

Croatia keeper was terrible too! The first and the last goal were not goals any top keeper should concede

Wump, this bloke couldn't get a game at Spurs, so what did you expect?

You also think it was just a coincidence that Brazil won after taking off the Spurs player?
