atleti if they keep players fit, will cause a few shocks in the CL this season i reckon

they're well capable of taking out one of the favs over 2 legs

Not sure how Sociedad will fair this season (I assume they got to the Group Stage of the CL?)
--

Hi LRF. They beat Olympique Lyonnais 2-0 tonight and 4-0 on aggregate. Everton didn't actually make the GS did they?

No, la Real won't be a 'permanent' CL side. They've got to enjoy it while it lasts, they're a great club with a great tradition and youth system. Much sought-after CB Iñigo Martínez dismissed any idea of a move elsewhere in the off-season: "I wouldn't miss playing the CL with La Real for anything in the world."
Not many players left like that.

Hello again IOAG.

Yeah I saw that. Not sure how much of a 'force' Lyon will be in the CL anymore, they once got to the SF a few years back, but they've tailed off into the EL now for the past 2 years, haven't really done anything special in that either. But they do deserve credit for beating them RS, it is their first of few CL experiences I'd bet for the most part of their team. Everton got knocked out in the CL Group Stage Qualifiers and then the EL one's as well! But that was a while back now.

They've just got to do what they can now. All heavens they don't want Group B or Group H though. Want them to be another Malaga esque, however, they'd need to work miracles for that. But they have Grezimann, anything is possible.

There best chance of going through would potentially be in Arsenal's Group really! Dortmund the toughest test their but not sure how good Arsenal/Marseille will this season. But as you say, they do have a chance as long as they do get a favourable Group, they've got a chance. Because they do have strong talents of their own.

Yeah they should get through. Those away games could prove difficult, though.

That said, we have some tough away games.
