People are talking about Costa but the fact is that the ball isn't reaching the front. Costa's had 2 chances and Torres 1 chance in 2 games. I've watched Costa all season and he's been great (until his injury). Spain just had no ideas.

Bit too early to judge Costa in the Spain set up.

Think Del Boy will walk now?

Costa is average

Like half of the Atletico team, Gabi, Koke, Godin, Felipe, Turan are quality though

i wont ban him IOAG..

i find him amusing

I think he's a quality striker. He's not the most technically gifted, which may hinder him for Spain, but I wouldn't call him average.

ioag, I think it'll be the right decision.

Who replaces him though?

Despite this low feeling
the Future is bright for Spain

Koke, Thiago Alcantara, Juan Mata, Jesus Navas, Javi Martinez, Gerard Deulofeu, Iker Munain, David De Gea, Alvaro Morata, Cesar Azpilicutea, Jordi Alba, Asier Irrallamendi, Oriol Romeu, Cristian Tello... I..

Costa was a square peg in a round hole. He was shoehorned into the side with barely any game time prior to the WC and being a completely different type of striker to the ones we've played in the past 6 years. It was never likely to work. Another big mistake on DB's part.

We do have a bright future coolinter. No time to waste though.

Good shout, Mex.

Great comment on the Liverpool board about the death of Tiki Taka.

Tiki Taka has been dieing for 2 seasons now.
The fault in the creation was exposed in 2005 by mourinho at chelsea and it was diagnosed as an illness in 2010 again by mourinho with Inter.

2 seasons after that it was declared fatal when
Bayern and Dortmund showed the future of football is not possession but transition.

This season Atletico mastered the cure, and the dutch just buried tiki taka (itis) last week.

Tonight was the remembrance.

no chance !

bielsa burns bridges where ever he goes

Hiddink would know what to do with this side. Not sure right now if we've ever had a foregin manager for Spain. Not that I can remember. Santamaría was Uruguayan by birth but he acquired Spanish nationality - played for both countries.

It's an abysmal comment, not a shread of truth in it

Last time we lost two matches in a row signalled the birth of this side. Two defeats have now signalled it's death...or, why not, the dawn of a new era.

I should have hyphenated the word great so you knew I was taking the piiiss then.

Hiddink is taking over the Dutch.

Do you think Rafa would be considered? I'm sure he'd jump at the chance.

I know you were joking, I'm just furious at the apparent delight in the "death" of one of the greatest football teams we've ever had the pleasure of watching

I certainly hope not.

Ah gotcha.

It's the inevitable symptom of any form of dominance.

Barca and Spain have dominated for years and as their style of play has been on the wane for a couple of years it's become boring to many so they're delighted that it's come to an end, so to speak.

Look at everyone's reaction to our demise, it's been similar.
