The price should be held firm at £50m minimum for the pair.
Fellaini has no contract clause now, so Moyes hunting Fabregas cost him dear. Plus, why not do your old club a favour.
You'll not get anything like £50m.....and you know it.
I can see United trying to include Rooney in the deal personally. He's still a toffee and went back to Goodison towards the end of the season with his son, Kai.
When you're worth £21m NET.....money isn't really a great concern anymore. It's getting to the stage where he'd probably take a massive drop in wages to get out of United.
What are Baines & Fellaini on per week collectively do you think?

Well as both have not expressed a desire to leave and we could afford to increase the players wages...
We hold the cards, Moyes will know what they are worth. Much like the bids you are making for Fabregas.
Minimum of 50m or 25m and Rooney for the pair although wages would be a problem. Felliani's on 75k and baines 40ish stretford
I think Baines will sign a new contract and stay though. Felli might go but if his clause has expired offers of less than 30m should be laughed out of goodison
The fellaini clause went last month....
If United could have got him for the rumoured 23.5m we would have done. No way will we now pay more for him.
As much as both players like Everton, you can hardly blame them for wanting a crack at the CL and a title challenege. Especially Baines as he's a good few years older.
Can't see us paying more than £40m for the pair if Rooney isn't involved.

So let me get this straight, Moyes knew of the clause date expiry....waitied until it passed.
Now excpects to pay the same price?
You are a silly billy!

Plus what is to say we cant make the CL?

I love it when I read stuff like that.... if you want them you will have to pay the appt fee or do one!
Why do people think 50m is too much in this market baines is statistically the most creative player in the world and solid defensively easily worth 20m in this market. Felliani clause less is worth 30m+ he can play anywhere from DM TO ST and has a lot more skill than people give him credit for.
Fellaini worth £30m and Baines worth £20m ?? Hahaha to you fans maybe. Not to anyone else.
United aren't going to pay that much for either and I doubt we'll have to. We are obviously interested in Baines as we've already made an offer for him. Fellaini could be idle press rumours we just don't know.
I think Baines seems rather likely anyway. There are rumours of Buttner going to Besiktas on loan today so that leaves us a left back short.
Do we know for 100% the clause in the big guys contract has expired, no offence to anyone here but just saying it has expired doesnt make it true

Baines will probably go for £16/17m. For a 28yr old left back with 2 years left on his current deal it's not a bad deal is it?
It would make him the joint second most expensive left back EVER just to put it into perspective.
As for this clause with Fellaini. It could all be total BS. Rumours of it ending end of July, August and bizarelly even mid August too.
One thing for sure is we've definitely got the right man in charge of United to target these two players in particular. He'll know about their contracts, he'll still speak with them I bet and I'm positive they both look up to Moyes still.
This is Baines's last chance at a shot at the PL title or playing in the CL.
I wouldn't blame Baines for leaving, but I would be gutted. I could live with losing Fellaini,as long as we got all the money to spend.
How did the offer for Baines go?
Speculation released to test the water with the club, the fans and the players.
Moysee always does his business at the close of the window. Hopefully BK and Martinez have got the bottle to tell united to F off...tbh it's not like DM to raid clubs for their best players, he knows who he wants and It's usually always someone no-one knows about
£12m was opening gambit. Nobody offers the truth worth of a player in first offer. Crazy if you do. I doubt Everton do it either.
Like I said 16m/17m would be just about right and I have a feeling that's what will be offered in coming days.
And thats what will be rejected. Under no pressure to sell...
No deal.
And then you'll probably have a very unhappy left back knocking on Roberto's door asking to leave.
He's been a great player for Everton but I think he'd probably like the chance of playing in the CL and trying to win a trophy or two. He's getting on a bit.

I can't see Baines moping around if a bid is turned down,he doesn't seem the type. I reckon he may feel a little cheesed off,but I can't see it affecting his form.
If he goes for less than £20m.....
Bobby will just give Jose a call
'You're not going to get 20m+ for a 28yr old left back.'
But you did pay £30m for a 27 yo Berbatov, and £25m for 29 yo RVP.
Baines is one of the best LBs in Europe, and he doesn't want a move, and we don't want/need to sell him. You think you'll get him for less than £20m? (if you get him).
Lets not forget the £30m offer rejected by United for rooney. rooney who is seen as a backup to RVP for next season!
Not sure what's going on but Felliani is a must considering the mess of bids they've made thus far, not too bothered about baines. Cracking player but Evra had a brilliant season last and really deserves another season to carry on. 2 midfielder.....in fact any decent midfielder is a priority!
