I'm kinda happy for Lambert. He'll get his cap, something to show the grand children....but with Oxo its squad after squad regardless of how he performs or indeed whether he's getting a game for Arsenal or not....similarly Ashley Young. Dropped for a lot of last season, still strolls into the England squad no questions asked.

Ox looked good with Rooney in the last game as far as I remember. Zaha isn't ready for England yet, Young is probably the best of a bad situation!
Welbeck and Young's inclusion
Lampard picked for the team even though he's only just started playing again today
He walked onto the pitch, Galv. Downhill from there.
For what it's worth, Ox probably doesn't deserve the spot in the seniors.
He looked good under Capello not sure how

The question is who else should be in there?
We just don't really have better options, sadly.
Downing maybe? He was better than both of them last season.
The problem is that Ox is too good for u21, but is one of the better senior players despite the fact he shouldn't be in the senior squad due to his performances. If it makes sense...
Ox isn't too good for U21. He's not better than Zaha, Sterling or Ince.
And certainly not better than the equivalent of other countries.
Darren TBH Dyer and Downing both had better seasons. There's also Lennon who seems to be ignoed these days.
He's better than all 3 you mentioned tbk. Easily. Guy has 100 pro appearances and he's only 19. He's just going through a period of inconsistency.
Well he's 20 in a week. Bertrand had 150 pro appearances by the time he was 21 but he was actually playing at his level (not suggesting he was anything better at that point), U21, and he did well there. Now he's a sporadic England international, yet in the same position as Ox, a squad player at a top club, and Ox is the one that gets called up regardless of form?
TBK, yeah that's true.
I also agree on Ox. He's pretty average.
Koscienly is a poor mans Luiz
