We'll probably save even more if we drop another division and offload more. However, I can't see that happening after today's performance.
We have certainly reduced the ammount of wasters at the club thats for sure, only 4 of those had any kind of impact at the club.
I'm not suggesting I'd like to see the club continue to fall in order to lay off players and reduce costs further, Cinci. There has to be a balance. I think KJ is just the right person at the moment. He's like a new broom in which we can have confidence, as he brings in young, enthusiastic players. To me he's the new Mick McCarthy and if he can do as well, it will be something to celebrate.
I think he is probably quite similar to McCarthy with his mentality Bute.
Not a bad thing, lets just hope he shows he can adapt better if the need arises a few years from now.
If Wolves get successive promotions and KJ has an impressive first season, he will go to another club.
What Wolves need to do is have a future proofed conveyorbelt. Sadly, our leaders stumbled upon Mick and knew not what to do when his magic wore off - if KJ turns out to have similar limitations, we can look forward to further dithering.
I do feel that - not being football men - they simply got lucky with Jackett.
Thats a fair point unc, defining a brand would likely pay off long term, which is why i am so keen for a young side to grow together.
Chopping and changing trying to find a formula just turns it into a disjointed project, Swansea seem to be doing a great job of fitting managers into the brand they have put together........which some claim KJ started incidently.
People say MM should have been sacked sooner. I hope they don't implement such a theory with KJ - at least not until we've at least gone up a division, otherwise we could be marooned in the lower leagues for years to come.
Think KJ will be here whilst we escape this division Bute, his real test will be how we get on in the champo.
I see no reason why KJ would go to another club if we do have successive promotions. Personally I don't think that will happen and I'm all for concentrating on getting out of League 1 first.
We may yet have one or two players coming in before this transfer deadline expires and IF we do get promoted I can see the likes of Elokobi and Edwards moving on as their contracts will be up.
People on 'ere keep talking about promotion as IF it's our divine right to go up. We need to be patient and not put KJ under too much pressure.
One good home win does not guarantee promotion you now.
As I was the only person to correctly predict our 4-0 win yesterday in wolfie's game; I suspect you win all be keeping a keen eye on my prediction for our next game...so
