So Suarez told Cavani about the clause, but we now know that Suarez was wrong.

Not really pal, we still have £70m to spend!

Apologise and play or don't apologise and spend the world cup year on the sidelines.

Serious question. Appealing as forcing him to sit on the sidelines might sound, do you genuinely believe that's an inviting message to send out to potential targets?

But do you really?

I think it shows potential targets that we won't let players push us over. If they don't like that then they aren't the sort of players we want

Seriously, that's bubble-thinking. No player is going to like the sound of that and it's going to put off any aspiring player from joining your club.

Its already been made clear that Suarez would have gone earlier in the window if we were given time to find a replacement and somebody would have paid are valuation for him.

That makes sense, its not bubble thinking. The club won't be held to ransom for a player, I'm happy about that.

Dear god, you scousers are something else! Unreal thinking!

I'm not a scouser. Just because you sell on when someone wants your best player doesn't mean we should.

I can tell by the way that no-one signed for City whilst you've smashed it in the transfer market.

It's my understanding that players want to join us. One guy came out and even said it openly recently, Suarez is his name I think?

Anyway, thinking through what I was saying, if Rodgers got Liverpool back on the up, a couple of years from now it won't really matter what he did with Suarez this season.

Got to admire his self-belief.

It doesn't matter a s#it what cavani thinks, there is no verbal agreement. It also doesn't matter a s#it what suarez wants, he signed a contract.

And 70m? try 80m and you still can't spend it.
