well I think, Ramires would be useful in the midfield just to close down the midfielders. However Mata and Hazard would be really useful in the final third. We have two problems so far, not winning the ball back and not closing down in midfield. So both KDB and Toby are right.

The logical thing to do when looking at the bench would be to bring Hazard or Oscar on, not a midfielder who at times can not do the most basic tasks.

Anyway second half I hope we bring on;

MVG for Mikel
Oscar for KDB
Hazard for Schrulle or Moses

If Roma start defending deep, bring on Mata for Schrulle or Moses so the 3 amigos are on.

Get dross like Moses and Schurrle off for Hazard and Oscar.

Ramires wont change the match. He will help us have more possession, which would be good. However even early in the half when we had possession, we couldnt create. Ramires wouldnt bring creativity.

No ramires would add pace to our midfield and the ability to break up play.

Thats his job and thats what he is so good at

I'm sorry but Ramires running around like a headless chicken won't work against a team sitting back looking to play slowly and dominate possession as they're are not desperate to score now. If you can't see that then you haven't been watching much football.

But having said that I would take Ramires over Mikel right now.

He also brings uncertainty.
