Didn't watch the first half as I was at football, but in the 2nd Paulinho was more involved and looked decent enough, Espanyol are miles ahead of Palace and it's a good test for us
Never seen Paulinho before, liked what I saw.
Soldado I knew was going to be quality. Rate this guy very highly. Can't wait to watch a top striker every week again
Needs the service I think, made some great runs but the ball to him needs to be better!
We need to take shots more, chances fell away, lots of changes got in the way of the flow of the game
Side note atmosphere was great yesterday so lets hope it's stays that way
Did AVB spend the whole game on the touchline again?
He's so passionate
If he goes we should give Don the job
If he goes then Don's gonna go into another rage
I don't like it when he's angry
Bale has an injured foot then.. not the arris or back we were told about.. ffs

Injuries are complex, especially in footballers during the build up to a new season.
There is a thing called referred pain, which sometimes occurs in areas connected or adjacent to the actual injured area of the body.
I have a bit of bother with my knee & seeing a consultant tomorrow morning about it. However I do get pains in my shins and lower leg & my partner (she is a retired GP) has mentioned that is more than like to be referred pain.
So Bale's injuries could indeed be related to each other!
Thudd if you've got it recorded or anything, it's well worth watching the first half from yesterday. We were twice as good as we were in the second.
It's on Sky+ at home, I'll watch the first half after the cricket,
I thought all 3 of the new guys looked really good.
I also thought Walker played really well. If he keeps that up next transfer window will be the Walker to Madrid saga.
Was very pleased to see Kabool & Sandro back in action.
And i think Lennon is going to have a fight on his hands with Townsend for that first team spot. Not sure either is really effective over a full 90 mins, but i believe both of them can terrorise a defense for 45.
agree paulinho looked quality.
soldado's movement looked good, and that should be considered to make up for his donkey shot in the box imo. nice pen too
chadli looked pretty decent in the first half as well, but he's certainly not the out and out pace merchant that some people had him down as.
agreed that the best thing from yesterday was the comeback of kaboul and sandro. brilliant news that i dont think anyone was expecting.
Paulinho looked pretty decent - Soldado also off the mark with a penalty so both did OK
