Oscar denied a legitimate rooney goal
3 defenders on Walcott when he gets the ball.
Do you think they might be worried about him?
I hate linesmen they think if a player is clean through with keeper to beat he is offside. I have seen rooney being 5 yds onside before given offside because a player steps out and rooney moves forward after the ball is played but because rooney is clean through they flag. Fifa, Uefa Fa etc should work on getting linesmens who actually know the offside rule.
That was Gerrard's first decent contribution to the game. He's been pretty poor so far. That said - so have most of the rest of the team.
How the hell Switzerland, Brazil, Belgium and France have not produced one goal between them in 45 mins each i'll never know
nice movement, silly shot
I notice all the chavvvv fans are loving Rooney now, after slating him for years....suddenly world class
In fact I was so sure he was a couple of yards onside as he did a run from deep and the ball was played from far out.
Gerrards been defending well he is playing holding role.
Well that first half done wonders for my rooney hat-trick and England - 5 bet, looking solid
good half, unlucky to concede
Round of applause for Welbeck on his 0% contribution
I'd rahter see Lampard in MF over Gerrard. Is he injured.
He's tried 4 or 5 of those long cross field balls, and none of them have come off...
rather see scholes and hes retired
Welbeck did that skill to set up rooney ? that was worth it he didn't need do anything else.
everyone has been poor. some less poor than others though
Aye, gerrard's done well.... and wilshire, even somewhat unfit, looks like he can really influence the midfield, something england desperatly need
Walcott's finish was good, though I thought he'd fecked it up with his first touch. Good ball from Cleverley - which neither of the commentators on my stream picked up.
I've nothing against Gerrard in general, just wish he'd stop pumping the ball 40 yards to no one.
