Most of them are sheep who don't have an original thought between them.

Wellbeck did play well and Lambert missed a sitter. Hard to know how you can pick a MOTM out of that carnage though. I like Wellbeck he seems like a nice lad, he is English and unlike most of you toss ers, he is Mancunian.

Happy now?

No French, a man like you who can socialise, sh it, post on ja606, and watch football on TV all at the same time deserves nothing but the utmost respect.

No ones gonna take a good performance against scotland. And by that I do mean good and not great. As something that's gonna change a widespread opinion

Did Welbeck start stretty??

Did Rooney play???

Sorry French I didn't realise that your views on the match were formed while watching it on sms text. I apologise for my unmerited respect - you are a toss er.

As for Wellbeck, I think he could be good for England if only the team wasn't managed by a superannuated donkey/ m

The problem with England is that the team isn't united and club loyalties over shadow the players and the fans. Maybe it would be better to pick players outside the top teams.

If you could make a team out of players not at the big clubs, who would they be?

Also i still deserve respect for being able to write a factually correct article without any facts

No matter what our players do, they'll be regarded as useless

As Rooney might be leaving however, he's now become top quality

And what exactly would this achieve?

It will lessen club bias and may actually get people loving England again rather than Liverpool/Arsenal/Chelsea/United/City fans complaining about all the players in the sides that play for the other big teams.

Someone like Lambert, doesn't play for the big clubs and everyone gets behind him. Its the only way to unite England.

At least he's Mancunian?

As opposed to City's plethera of Mancs in the squad. Oh wait there isn't a single one, is there? Might only be one englishman in first 11 too next yr.

Manchester's club? Yeah right.

Stretty, United have done well in the past developing English players. Generally tho its not happening which is why England are fecked. England could be good for Welkbeck because he might have a better chance of being played in position there. Although generally playing for England just doesn't do anybody any good these days.

As was said yesterday Kami, Welbeck might end up a 'Crouch-esque' figure. Not amazing for club, but a consistent goalscorer for country.

Couldn't believe it when Andy Townsend gave Welbeck man of the match. For a player who was supposed to be playing on the left of a front three he spent more time on the half way line. I wonder how many times he gave the ball away or dribbled to nowhere. He is the new Darius Vassell if you ask me.

If he played for Fulham or Stoke, would he play Left Wing? No.

Did he get into the England team while on loan at Sunderland? Yes.

People see two goals but can't tell you where he played. It's because you don't watch him, you just spout the usual rubbish. Yes he should have scored more, but how many strikers do well out of position?

When Ronaldo was here Rooney did an he was fine there and certainly didnt forget how to score.

Rooney didn't play as an out and out winger in a 4-4-2. He played in a different formation as a wing forward, usually on the left and cutting in Something more to a 4-3-3 than a 4-4-2. You also saw that Ronaldo, Tevez and Rooney interchanged their positions throughout the match so it wasn't as if Rooney was stuck on the left side throughout. And even if we were to accept Rooney, that is just one striker. I did ask how many.

Two goals is poor, but he has done well enough to get into the United side and play out of position when all our wingers were cack. And he isn't a winger.

There aren't that many players up front better than him for England. Yes, there are better finishers, but as players not that many. You have Rooney, Strudridge (who was not doing all to well out wide for Chelsea but has excelled playing in his natural position at Liverpool). Lambert has done well on his debut, but even Dave Nugent scored on his England debut.

Defoe is at best an inpact sub and doesn't add much to the team. Bent is the same. Holt and Carroll will have England hoofing it up to them. Crouch might be better than those two but even then, England will resort to hoofing and he ain't good in the air like Welbeck is.

He got 13 goals outwide in essentially his only season there as a first choice player.

Welbecks just dross.
