Number Eight

I'm saying judged on todays game we don't need anymore players in attacking areas, they need to gel.. maybe if Townsend is not deemed good enough or Bale goes..

Another CB and LB would be my preference.. and yes I rate Coutinho, but he has nothing to do with Spurs

Capou-EH looked good. Sandro will have to be on his toes this season to get his place back

Just read Holloway's post match comments. Embarrassingly bitter and deluded - I hadn't realised he was like that. Hope they go down now.

Unfortunate with the penalty, but other than that, no ref decision in the game even vaguely resembling contentious.

Holloway so bitter, claiming a legit shoulder barge that happened 90 secs before the penalty was the crucial factor in the game

As a Palace fan, even I can see Holloway has gone crazy there

Yes the result was good but we still have a long way to go.

IMO Rose did not look comfortable all day and Soldado was isolated. I do not for one second think siggy is anywhere near good enough to play in the hole and thats part of the reason we struggled to create many decent chances.

Capoue looks a really decent player and Paulinho did ok without being outstanding. Soldado has a good touch and his movement is good it was also nice to see him set siggy up for his chance so he can obviously bring other players into the game as well which Defoe rarely does.

Everything considered far from perfect but a good result in what was a tricky fixture.

Blackpool got 3 pens against us in 2 games in 10/1, 2 at our ground. Talking out his aris about he's had it all before with the Tangerines and decisions and he wouldn't get it at WHL.

Our new signings (and returning loanees and long-term injuries) will take a while to settle back in to the rhythm, it was always going to be a bit disjointed to begin with.

If we can have 8pts on the board after the Norwich game (4 games in) we will have done well for this period. After that we should have properly settled down and should kick on with the signings made.

Palace had two chances to clear the ball before the pen, Holloway is deluded!

get used to it!
