Wouldn't have Olsson out personally, thought the back four were good yesterday at defending duties. JO had to resort to those long balls cause the midfield were shat!
Vydra needs to come on earlier next week. Those couple of touches/runs he made were our most threatening moves all game!
Olsson carried on his form of last season. Absolute pash!
Numerous times Mulumbu and Morrison dropped deep to take the pass from him and he just humped it up to Casper.
We need reinforcements asap. Sinclair will help but i still think we'd be 2 short after that.
I still think we'll be ok. Some major over the top reactions on other forums. 1 game in
'Peace out, Clarke out, players out, record low points, relegation, Armageddon'
We need DM cover aswell.
The amount of petty fouls and cards Yacob and Mulumbu will rack up over the season will mean we need one, never mind either of them getting injured.
The ref yesterday was tommy tank but Clarkey needs to have a wee word in the DM's ears.
Oh.....
Agree with the Vydra part though.
The 1 positive from yesterday. He looked good in his 6 minute cameo.
Agree. Three players in including Sinclair. Two wide players and DM cover. Plus would be nice to have a young RB to be third choice - should Jones get injured, we can't rely on Reid to play every week.
Some fans have been really negative all Summer, and that performance really hasn't helped. We should definitely be fine. Unless we literally get no one in, there is no reason why we shouldn't finish at least 15th. And then we can go for a cup run.
My one gripe with the transfers this season is why, after we got Anelka, a wide player wasn't seen as the priority. Dorrans and Morrison can be class when playing centrally, but neither of them are wide players, but we are being forced to put them out there when Brunt isn't fit.
Once september 2nd has arrived, and all the new arrivals are in, the fans should hopefully settle down
Agee totally.
The players we have got haven't suddenly turned pesh over night. They need help though and the end we had to last season can't be ignored.
I personally won't get to despondent until the transfer window shuts and we've played more than 1 game
I did say a cup run was priority this season. I'd happily take 17th and a trip to wembo.
14th and a decent cup run is what I expect from these players this season.
Lets say we are selling Wingie for Sinclair
Need someone to replace JT now.
11th is a realistic hope if we can do that.
We can be far too narrow and predictable otherwise.
*14th and perhaps a decent cup run.
Yesterday's opponents.
So they only started with 2 new players. But they cost 20 plus million between them.
They have also just secured the services of Roma striker Osvaldo for 15 million.
That's 30 plus million on just 3 players.
At a guess I'd say that's more than our combined total of money signing in the past decade, maybe longer.
Just saying.
Didn't they also start with three 18 year olds?
Youth and quality.
Ahhh, lucky them.
I said I'd take 17th and a cup run.
Well, we are 16th and in both cup as it stands
