Ok.. .so I state the obvious.
Good luck with the house move
The thing that makes me smile is Derby are so desperate for us to fail and they're worried. Since old non league rocked up there they've pretty much given up on achieving anything. All they have left in football is us and how we get on.
It's exciting times at Forest. Played some great stuff on Saturday and I think we'll get better. Promotion or not we'll be a good side to watch and we'll win more than we lose. At £510 a season ticket in A block will be well worth the cash this season.
Of course we want Forest to fail Sutton, just as you want us to fail. Also like many football supporters I also want clubs who try to buy success to fail so two reasons to want Forest to fail, but one is sufficient.
Have to admit Forest have made a good start but any Forest fan with an ounce of sense (a rare breed admittedly) will know it is a long season.
We want you to faIl Spart. Of course we do.
The difference is what you do won't define our season. Increasingly with Derby you get the feeling laughing at us if or when we fail to gain promotion is the biggest thing in their football world.
We all laughed at Leicester's attempt to buy there way to the Prem' and we all laughed at Watford's attempt to borrow their way to the Prem' and hopefully we will be laughing at Forest's failed attempt to achieve promotion. I make no apology for this. However to make the claim that this defines our season is totally unrealistic.
He is a good manager for this league and I know several Derby fans who'd have him back today if given the chance.

Nope, honest Webbo I would never take him back. YES, he is a good manager at this level and if you care to trawl into my comments passim, I am of the mind that Florest will be promoted (that hurt ) but Billy Davies, he is baaaaad news and I hope he doesn't give cause to upset genuine fans like yourself.
You're bang on there Sutton. What else is there, promotion? Then what.
If you think you will win anything then think again. Best to just take the Mick out of each other and be done with.
View.. I was stating, taking into account that I work in Derby, there are many Derby fans who would have him back. They tell me so. The thing is he needs financial backing to get him up. GSE would not back him the same way Fawaz does.
He would just go on about having gaps, young players, they are still learning etc etc, just like his first stint with us.
He now has the luxury of an owner willing to back him. So far it seems to be working.
When he leaves, as long as he has done better than his previous failed attempts, I will be pleased.
I'm not shouting that we will get promoted but the signs so far look good. Early days, but I'm happy with the way things are going
I detect an undercurrent here; it runs like this we are better off staying in the championship, it's competitive where as the Prem isn't. How can we compete against teams spending £100 million on ONE player?
One of the main talking points on match of the day was how Hull could only pass the ball around within their own half. That makes for an uneven contest and isn't entertainment for all the neutrals watching it.
If it were not for the enormous monetary reward there would be no reason to be in Prem. Entering a competition which you do have the slightest chance of winning isn't really what sport is about. I really don't want my club to be just points fodder for the Man Uniteds of this world.
That's a load pants Spart.
No sprinter can beat Bolt, do we just stop sprinting? The rest can't beat him, even if he has a stinker onky a couple have chance and thats only because they cheated. Success in football is relative. You've got 90 odd league clubs and 3 main trophies. Even if Man Utd didn't have the fan base or Chelsea and City the big money owners, the chances of our clubs winning one of the cups is very small. Sport is about testing yourself against the best opposition possible and getting to the top level.
If Forest or Derby were to go up and and finish top ten in the prem. That's and achievement. Fair enough there are better but there are 80 odd clubs worse off.
Freudian slip that, Spart
Hull [what I saw of it] went forward and then played the ball back into their own half rather than risk losing the ball by attacking. They then lost possession in their own half after passing the ball backwards! when they could have lost it in their opponents half!
What does that tell anybody?
Wigan won the FA cup last season... I will leave it at that!
Exactly Mostyn and football is cyclical so if we can get up there, stay there and improve then who knows what might happen. Probably nothing but it's worth the try and the hope
Anything is possible, although it is easier if you have a lot of wonga.
There is, of course, always a third possibility in that one team gets to the promised land, stays there and flourishes. Strangling their neighbour and reducing their status to that of another Notts County?
Look at Saints: 2 quick promotions, one survival campaign and now just spent £27m on two players.
There's money for getting there but it's a massive outlay to try to stay there too... All risk, very little actual reward.
You’re probably right, 666. It’s just not worth it. I’ll tweet Fawaz and let him know. Thanks for the tip-off.
Not saying it isn't worth it, just that the perceived 'rewards' are anything but in real terms because you have to spend what you earn just to stand still.. To invest to make a difference in the Championship takes ten million; in the Premier League, that gets you Darren Bent and a prospect.
Fk Darren Bent, he's all that's wrong with the game, the mercenary shyster.
It depends on what measure you are using when you say 'rewards'. If your measure is 'cash', then you could be right, (although I think that even Abramovich has arguably created something of more value, than the personal cash he's put in).
However, some people's measures might be different, and there are ‘intangible’ rewards - ie joy of ownership, success, and the kudos that goes with it. If money is no object, how do you value such ‘rewards’.
