We will have a dip if Sako and Doyle go.
We don't have replacements for what they bring to the team.
And crucial injuries of course.
But Jackett will pull us through.

But then again.......I'm really fickle ! (read bio)
After the despair of last season and the great support of the fans this, it feels much better to me, so YES Drifty, the FGF is back
That statement goes with the caveat of, so far
I think there is cause from optimism as the club seems to be doing a lot of positive things from the fans point of view. We've started strongly, our youth players are stepping up and giving strong performances and it appears that we are slowly shifting the problemed players on.
On the other hand I sense an underlying feeling of trepidation that its still early days and a lot of things can go wrong between now and May.. this is mainly due to the fan's confidence taking such a battering over the past 2 seasons. I'm inclined to agree with drifter if after 10 games we are up there and in good form, the fans concerns will ease.
Leaving Molineux on Friday with us top of the league will feel very good.
Its very positive but of course a few bad results against average League One teams and the honeymoon will soon be over. We are unquestionably good enough to win this division but it will be a real test for Jackett to keep things going if Doyle and Sako are not there in 2 weeks. Doyle was the best player on the pitch on Saturday and seems to have remembered how to be a striker. Unlucky not to score on 3 occasions and much more of a threat to the home defence than Griffiths on the day. Sako scored one and made one so these two players will obviously be missed because they are both more than good enough to be playing at a higher level. The signing of McDonald is one step towards replacing Doyle if we move from 4-4-2 to 4-2-3-1. But the fact that Griffiths was so easily marked out of the game on Saturday by a defence with a poor record was disappointing
Early days yet says Cyp AKA Prophet of Doom.
Pre-season optimism has been replaced with post-opening games pragmatism.
A long, long season that will likely see many wins at home (including a few big thumpings) and the occasional loss that will surprise everybody. Those loses will not dampen the mood of the fans who go - it happens.
The main course of excitement amongst the faithful are the away days. Won't win as many away and will likely receive the odd hammering against inspired teams playing in their cup final in front of record crowds.
At the root of this is my knowledge from those whom I know that work daily at Molineux. Mr Kenny Jackett has completely transformed the mood and ethos at Wolves. He is not your cold, aloof Solbakken (who spoke to nobody) and he is not your overly friendly and familiar but unrelated neighbourhood uncle who talks to everybody as Mick did.
The man means business and has a plan that is feasible NOW - not in three years when he has spent £30m bringing in crap loads of foreign imports who can understand what the hell he wants to achieve.
Enjoy it
Go back to the posts after the Morcambe game, fans mood soon changes with a bad result.
Its like a different club this season, a lot of the symbols of defeat of the last few years have been cleared out of the way and we now have a squad who want to play for the shirt.
We will take a few hits i'm sure, but we have a good set of players and will likely add a couple yet as well as lose a couple.
Still look like a team capable of 80-85 points to me so far.
What pleases me is the fact that so many of our younger players have settled in from the start. Yes, we are going to slip up and lose some games. But that happens in football and I believe that most on here will take the rough with the smooth with regard to results, especially in the first half of the season.
Even the top Premiership sides lose the odd game to average teams in their league. Villa proved that on Saturday.
I can't see many on here turning on KJ or the players to be honest. The ones who may do it, are those that are in the ground. Again the Arsenal game was a prime example of how those inside the ground can turn against their manager.
It will always be a roller coaster ride with Wolves and there may well be a dip in form, but I'm still of the belief that we will have a better second half to the season and be in contention for promotion.
I'm also not convinced that should we lose either, or both Doyle and Sako the side will suffer that much. Kevin McDonald (who I expect to start on Friday) will have a huge influence in our stride for promotion.
Doyle is replaceable and as someone else has stated he did have chances on Saturday, but failed to put the ball in the ol' onion bag.
UP THE WOLVES
It was the response after the Morecambe game that sealed it for me. Subsequent bad performances will not have the same effect that they did under SS and DS.

And I remember your muted response whenever it was Wolves. You were always very reluctant to praise, and I for one will never forget that.
Yes the feel good factor is definitely back, well it was on Saturday anyway, it's good to be a wolves fan again and winning games.
I can't see many on here turning on KJ or the players to be honest. The ones who may do it, are those that are in the ground.

Quite laughable comment from someone that has barely seen a live football match in his life and yet has spent most of the last four years slating everything the club has done.
And Doyle was superb on Saturday, clearly man of the match and Sako scored one and made one. Of course we will miss them. I remember you saying the same about Jarvis and Fletcher when they left and our performances last season suggested to me it might have been useful to have them around. The only reason we are get rid of these quality of players is financial. From a results and performance point of view it would clearly be better to keep them
Its always Wolfie isn't it ^^^^^
Your memory eludes you Bute. I praised him for what he did, but in the last 3 seasons, there's not much to be happy about, yet alone praise anyone.
And the anointed one speaks yet again. This time blabbering on about how many games he thinks I've seen live. Can't be bothered even answering that idiotic remark.
Will there ever become a day when our most esteemed poster, who states he does the opposite and GOES to all the games, can post a comment on here without the need to start trouble. Why don't you do what Perton did and prove you go to matches.
I should really ignore the boy, but it's hard to do when it's relentless. But keep it up DJ and you'll drive even more away with you constant drivel. Try reading what the neutrals on here are telling you and that is GIVE IT A REST.
We all should get along, drop our cliques and just agree we have different views. I really dont care who goes to games, who listens on the radio or who watches on the internet. How you support Wolves is irrelevant, the fact that you do in your own way.....is relevant.
Esteemed, anointed, its really quite humbling to have someone so in awe of me wolfie.
There is no drivel whatsoever in my comments, all factual and relevant. As for your reply....
Time Gentleman Please....
Why does it always have to come back to muppet. ...ffs hes history forget him.
We could be on the verge of something good here enjoy it.
Dream on DJ, you have absolutely no idea how many matches I've been to. So do as everyone has suggested and MOVE on.
Your gripe with me should have ended a long time ago, but you cannot let it go, can you?
Is it not possible to have one thread without a pathetic WITTS vs DJ argument. Why don't you start your own thread and insult each other to your hearts content on there and the rest of us can be spared the unrelenting playground nonsense.
