Good article, 5 stars from me!
Murray Nadal clash is the one I want to see!
Well timed on Nadal's part as he's now the no. 2 ranking/seed. Murray moving down to no. 3.
One thing about Murray is that he performed better at Cincinnati this year then last, the same at Canada both years.
Hopefully it's not serious but both Berdych and Isner pulled out of the tournament (Winston-Salem Open) they were due to play this week. Isner being the holder. More for precautionary reasons.
Isner with pain in his hip flexor! and Berdych problems with his right shoulder. Both came on Cincinnati.

It's going to be a very open tournament this year. For me though actually winning it is only between 4 players, Federer not being one of them.
Dependent upon draw I can really foresee another Murray/Djokovic final
A lot will depend upon the growing form of Delpo and How Nadal's knees stand up to a hard court slam
Doing it in 3 set 5 day MS is one thing, A slam is a whole other ball game
That said, It's great to see him contending again.l'd love to see Andy play him at some point this tournament and maybe i'm being biased but I think Murray's game is on a whole other level to the last time they met and I'd expect Andy to pull through in 4
As I said maybe i'm a tad biased

Agree with this except not sure about 'expecting' Andy to pull through, would be great to see how his game matches up against Nadal's now.
A Djokovic v Murray semi and then a final of the winner vs Rafa would be the best scenario for me.
Although Murray has improved a lot in the past 12 months, I'm not at all sure Murray would be EXPECTED to beat Nadal. This improvement has come in the absence of Nadal and Nadal has always been the one player Murray has had major problems with, Rafa leading the head-to-head 13-5 record with a 6-2 margin in grand slam meetings, including 3 straight wins in grand slams in 2011.
Although I believe it will be a more competitive match were they to meet, Rafa would still be favourite in my mind due to the history and also Rafa's red hot form at the moment.
I would also welcome a Rafa v Djoko final. I think since 2011, the rivalry between those 2 has produces some of the best matches I've ever seen, notably the 2011 Australian Open final and this year's French Open semi. Despite Murray and Djoko also having some amazing matches, I think they're styles are similar enough to cause sometimes monotonous rallies and matches at times. It seems to me that Djoko isn't as attacking against Murray and he really steps up for the matches against Nadal and is forced to be very aggressive, leading to more exciting matches IMO.
However, a final between any 2 of Rafa, Djoko and Murray will be something to savour!
Also, just to confirm, despite being a Nadal fan, I do respect and enjoy watch Murray as well and Djokovic play so hope that I'm not consider too biased
Forehand agree with comments re Murray etc. would love him to conquer Nadal but not a foregone conclusion at all.
Ps you don't come across as biased at all. We used to have some real numpties on here who were completely blinkered and biased.
As I said Jonty i was perhaps being a tad biased. you know me, being a Scot i'll back Andy to the hilt
I do hope Nadal's injury woes don't strike him here
No worries we all have our favourites, very much looking forward to this, but not the disrupted sleep!
Good to see Rafa back, it is no surprise Andy's rise has come since he has been out injured. Would love to see how a resurgent Andy would fare against a now, back in form Rafa?
I always knew we would get the old Rafa back (ppl like VJ won't be happy)
The qtr final match ups could be fantastic this year?
Logie, VJ is never happy. quite an angry young man to be fair
What makes you think she's a man?
Pol, true. Not heard from him for a longtime, thankfully. Or her?
Jonty, can't imagine VJ is female - hope not after some of the things I've said !
Cheers, just wanted to make sure
The draw has thrown up some good potential matches!
Quarter finals:
Djoko v Del Potro
Murray v Berdych
Nadal v Federer
Ferrer/Janowicz v Raonic/Gasquet
Semis:
Nadal v Ferrer/Janowicz/Raonic (I suspect Janowicz)
Murray v Djoko
and a Final of hopefully Nadal v Djoko or Murray!
