Unreal if we manage to pull of both Lamela and Willian I'm in dreamland.

Quite incredible don but it appears to be happening! Greatest off season with transfers I can remember!.

Levy is on a mission.

ginola, no doubt mate. Bale going won't be nowhere near as gutting as i thought it would be.

this is not our beloved Tottenham!!

i still think i'm dreaming

It's obvious we're spending the Bale money, but i have to say, Levy is doing a good job about it.

I don't follow enough of European football to know too much about some if these signings. All I would say is that the lack of homegrown players worries me a little.

If we got Willian, Lamela, Coentrao and Sakho I will wa nk a load of midgets off

"homegrown players "

And of course Baldini has allegedly been with Roma for discussions over the summer long before today.

For me tis just a case of trying to understand where the money is coming from if Bale is not actually sold.

I also reckon that for every one player the media hacks may have got a sniff of Tottenham involvement, there are another 2-3 that Baldini is in under the radar mode with.

We're 1/5 to sign Lamela with the bookies.

The go ons are second favourites at 12s

Never seen Lamela play, but the hype makes him sound like Hazard. If he's as good as him we're sorted

Short term consolidation. In the Academy we trust.
And of course, if you become a winning club, you tend to get your pick of the home-grown talent if/when they appear, and you can afford them too.

Siggy the cockney

posted on 20/8/13

Siggy is classed as HG from his time at Reading

posted on 20/8/13

Siggy qualifies apparently by virtue of being in some PL teams academy system.

The Academy will also have a batch of overseas players who if still with the club in 2 or so yrs (Veljkovic etc) , will qualify as "home-grown" .

I'm almost certain Holtby is home grown aswell? born in england.

posted on 20/8/13

sorry my mistake, holtby born in germany.

spurs look fantastic on paper

I'll take your word on it, RD.

You're the Empire.
No need for anything close to silly buying yet.
Moyes is your on-paper short term weak link, not the squad.

You can go and look at the Academy squad roster any time to check. Think of that Croat wonderkid if he is signed. 17 now, by the time he is 21 he could be registered in the Academy pipeline for at least 3 yrs.
