If today is Sept 2, we can be happy with the squad as is.
Bale can continue onwards, and the squad means he probably won't be carrying the team now unless we get <standard> injuries of epidemic proportions.

If selling bale would mean we sign Lamela, Willian and Coentrao added to who we have already signed then im sorry im all for it. One player doesnt make a team he might have a big influence on the team but atleast we wont get the 'Pass it to Bale' critcis all the time. Lamela and Willian are the creative spark we need add to that Soldado's goals = Perfect replacements.

I would line up like this (without bale)

With Willian and Lamela both looking reasonably likely to happen I'd say we're in a win win situation.

If Bale stays then we still have Bale.

If Bale leaves we sign Willian and Lamela. Squad is stronger

Wasn't looking forward to losing Bale but with this kind of replacements, we'll be much stronger in at least two positions on the pitch than with Bale!

I think our midfield will be rotated a lot but something along the line of:

Willian, Lamela and Contrao in, Bale gone

I can't see us Signing Willian and Lamela, and Bale, Lennon, Townsend staying add to that the recent signing of Chadli.

Surely it would mean the one is off likely Bale, maybe Lennon's day's at spurs are up who knows.

Perhaps you have heard the phrase :

When somebody becomes indispensible, get rid of them.

At start of Window i was of the belief there was no way we could sell Bale, and certainly not end up better for it. However it seems the Levi, Baldini, AVB trio have proved me totally wrong.

ITK suggests that Bale may be staying, and also that the Lamela / Coentrao deals will only happen if Bale does go. I would rather we kept him than received those 2. Bale with who we have signed will be awesome. Bale scares other teams, and he has that marketing draw that can help Spurs a lot.

Definitely reckon Levy will push for Lamela, as he will be the next potential Bale (develop to be good and then some clowns will get Levyed big-time sometime in the future) .

Willian is a different type of player, does not have that pace that Lamela has, but both would compliment each other, with a defensive role of Paulinho and Sandro, well
