Hmmmm....this should be a busy thread. I hope you're not easily offended.
Support the team yes.
But why lend support to someone whose policies and steadfast inability to change has been to the severe determent of the club?
Any other football club in world football would have moved AW on by now.
Look at Spurs. When faced with the prospect of losing their best player they reinvest and strengthen. AW stockpiles cash season after season.
Result?
The mess that the club finds itself in today.
I'm a fan of Wenger, but that's not really the point even if you aren't. Get behind the team whatever, and for good or bad, Wenger is at the helm of the team.
You can do what you like.
Arsenal would be unknown without Wenger?
Good for you lot.
Spending does not guarantee success. At the end of the day Wenger is part of the team, he is the leader. You cannot truly support Arsenal without supporting the leader.
Arsene has brought us much success and he deserves our respect. Otherwise we will end up like Liverpool

You can respect someone while also criticising their methods, no?
While all fans are grateful for the contribution (which IMO is unrivalled) AW has made to the club why would fans continue to support “a part of the team” who continued to score own goals game after game after game?

So I should have made an account long time ago to talk about supporting Wenger?. IT makes no sense
"This is the man that put is on the footballing world and he deserves more respect. Without him we would probably be unknown."
Oh fúck off.
What would Stuart Pearce do? (U3126)

All I am asking for is patience. As long as he is our leader we should support him. The board will be the ons who say when they will terminate him. Until then it is not helping our team if fans are not behind them.

Hello HK, good to have you back
Is it true you're getting rid of the cannon and sticking Wengers face on the badge?
Wow a Yankee female Gooner.........are you a southern state lass lady?
I am afraid that I am no longer a fan of Wenger.
After 17 years including 8 without a trophy there comes a point to say 'au revoir' albeit probably at end of this season.
Wenger persists with a transfer policy which is totally
out of touch with reality. He is blind to what is going
on elsewhere or more importantly the fee levels being
asked and paid by other teams.
He has left his transfer business until the end of window whilst most other teams have been active and
more importantly the options on offer become more
limited.
Such a strategy may work if you need to offload players BEFORE you buy, but not when you are cash
rich and are interested in recruiting the best talent on market.
Leaving aside Wenger we need a controlling shareholder with passion and ambition, a Board of Directors which can make decisions quickly, a Football Director who plans transfer business in a
professional and realistic manner and a Manager who
can move the team forward.
At the moment Arsenal is a 'rudderless' and 'unambitious' club which does not punch its weight.
I have had patience for the last 8 years.
Look at the work Spurs have put into strengthening their squad. All we have done is weaken ours, there is no way we will finish top 4 this season, and the real target should be to win the league. This will never happen now!
Lady_Gunner
You ask for patience.
I am a fairly patient person but when the sole person who can make a change at the club has no intention of changing their ways, how many years is a reasonable time to afford them?
These questions have being asked of AW since 2007 yet he still implements the same tactics and philosophies despite them being proven to be flawed.

I love a stat.
No offence Lady Gunner, but AW (or Arsenal) is doing something very similar to what the rail companies and utility companies are doing... taking more and more and giving less and less. And at some point, people are going to get fed up!
It's one thing to laud him for his past achievements, but winning a trophy 8 years ago doesn't give you a free pass to keep on making empty promises. I know it's not just him, but he's culpable. It's not fair on the fans and not fair on the team. And that's just looking at Arsenal in isolation. When you start looking at where Arsenal are compared to other teams, it becomes even more upsetting. I know we aren't entitled to be in the top 4, but we CAN win the league or should be challenging to do so, but not when he keeps selling the best players and not replacing them... all while teams we traditionally beat do exactly what we aren't doing. How can you really say "support Wenger" in light of that?! Well, you might be able to... some of us can't!
This is a funny thread. I am a staunch AW supporter but even I can't defend him this season. He's off come 2014 anyway so no need, luckily. OP I can see you're trying to help but you got jokes asking this lot to support Wenger
The only thing funnier than Lady Gunner asking for support for AW is Chamakh with:
there is no way we will finish top 4 this season,
Never ever heard that before have we boys and girls
Interesting.
How much was Noah's Ark THudd?
I don't think Noah spent money on it. He just labored long, hard and very fast to build that bad boy. Killed a lot of trees I hear. So unless he had to pay for the trees, I don't think he spent a penny .
