Wootton can apparently play right back, although I'm not sure how good he would be.

Having been brought through at Liverpool and then sc(um) I'd imagine he's been trained to be flexible with regards to position.

If this happens;

CB: Mills, Pearce, Lees, Wootton.
RB: Byram, Thompson, Wootton
LB: Warnock, Drury, White, Pugh

Makes sense, Mills is BM's man and Peltier is warnocks so ....... Mills is the physical presence that we've missed sorely. Lees and byram aren't strong enough and get out muscled but they are the more mobile defenders you need.

We ought to be looking at strikers and wingers are lacking both big time.

I have been impressed with Peltier so far and think he is has done a good job rightback and deserves his starting place there.

We dont know how long Byram is out for and for me keeping Peltier, who showed he can get forward during the last 15 minutes of the last game, is important cause I think we have a good rightback doing a good job.

Hopefully this points to byram being back sooner rather than later if its true. Theres been no more talk of an operation this week and im guessing BM wouldnt get rid of our only confirmed right back if byram needed surgery.

Or maybe we will be playing 3-5-2!

I agree Peltier has played reasonably well in defensive situations so far this season, but as for getting forward, what's the point? From what I've seen he couldn't cross his fingers!

I'd like that too Marko but don't want players deco used cos they're thinking about moves.

Peltier for mills sounds like a bad deal to me.

Brian Mac has ruled out talk of a swap deal involving Matt Mills and Lee Peltier.

From today's press conference: McDermott says there is no swap deal for Mills/Pelts. He said his priority is wingers at the moment.

Never really been a fan of peltier, and Mills has done nothing but cost a load of money for the last 2 years. He's also had little or no pre season.

Massive risk/gamble. I'll trust BMac on this one and hope he comes good but it doesn't fill me with confidence
