Spurs have done nicely this Summer. However, if we land Di Maria and Benzema then

Gianluca Di Marzio who works for Sky Italia. One of the more reliable sources

How come someone working for Sky Sports Italy is best placed for info on a deal involving a Brazillian owned by a Russian club being transferred to an English one?

It was this guy saying Levy was in Madrid for talks about Bale and Lamela yesterday

Deal is more or less done, just gonna sit and wait for Spurs Official to announce it

Would be good signing but 35m is 5-10m too much.

You assume Spurs have assessed he will be valued at that level (or more) within the next couple of years.

I remember Willian being valued at 17 or so million just 6 or so months ago?

Vertonghen groove, this Italian journo is pretty bang on the money mate so I would certainly take notice. He was one of the first guys to mention Parker to Fulham aswell where as every other man and his dog was admant is was Qpr. Anyway like everything keep an open mind but this guy is reliable.

I cannot believe Levy is paying 30m quid when :

1. Nobody else is bidding that high
2. Anzhi are in a bit of financial difficulty

Don,

He certainly seems to be more clued up than anyone else, certainly more than Balague, SSN and all our media

I agree, £30m seems pricey, I'd have thought closer to £20m would be the going rate. Does anyone know if Pool put a bid in, and for how much?

Just hope he can live up to it now

£30m is over market value. No one can claim Willian is currently worth £30m, imo.

As I say, is still a great signing, but it's very unLevy.

They seem to have decided they want to go all out to make sure the side is at least as strong without Bale. If that includes having to pay over the odds for Willian then so be it.

If it's over two season's it's great business because only 17.5 million paid now which will be less on this seasons net spend

RC I agree he's overrated

But selling Bale to Real for 90million is the biggest deal of the centure, we only paid close to 11 for him

Cos Levy is know some Jedi knight like you all are deluding yourselves into thinking .

He paid the release clause for Soldado

He's done the same for Willian and probably Paulinho

And will probably do the same for Lamela.

They are all great signings but people need to stop deluding themselves that Levy somehow can take advantage of other chairman. He's stink now precedes him.

Of course when selling its a different case but as you can see he can also expect the same treatment when buying...

Don't misunderstand .

It's fantastic signing if it happens. The Pool and Arsenal fans will be exceptionally jealous. And for good reason.

It's just the quoted price is very unLevy. Maybe there are clauses we don't know about. Installments? As you mention.
