McGeoch is completely useless...he's got Murray Park Syndrome...apparently it can't be treated.
He needs to play the defence he plans to play in midweek....needs to give them a chance to gel.
Other than that he can do whatever he likes apart from play Mulgrew in midfield
Forster
Matthews
Van Djik
Ambrose
Mulgrew
Forrest
Kayal
Ledley

He needs to decide what his first choice defensive pairing is. Then he needs to play them together week in week out.
Irvine spot on...although ideally he would buy a decent centre half first and pair him with one of the current options
Anton I agree that Rogic is worth a try. My problem is that I get the impression that he might need a run of games to gain confidence and to be seen at his best. Certain 'fans' will be on his back after the first mis-placed pass.
I blame lennon for not playing ambrose and throwing in Van di k e after only 5 mins of competative action all season in what was our biggest game of the season He should have played it tight in midfield aswell like he had in all previous away euro ties a very wrong time to change a formula that got us results
I thought van Dijk looked good given that the other bloke beside him didnt .
whats your thoughts on big yoko ono at the back ?

Agree zach , looks like a poor mans balde
couldnt believe the shape of his body when he passes a ball - he looks very awkward indeed
His header for their second goal was attrocious
Ambrose should have played he has been our first choice defender for the past season Big yoko looked ok against liverpool i would have played the two of them. Hes a lupm it away at any cost but hopefully he will improve since he had been out the game for almost a year
It's all about opinions...I thing Van Dijk could be a player...his main issue was that he was bewildered by what was going on around him.
I don't think Ambrose was our first choice defender last season...I think that was Wilson.
I'd play VanDijk with either Lustig or Mulgrew and take my chances.
First choice last season was ambrose and wilson
I agree van dijk could be a player but when he gets a run of games first and not to be pitched in when it was so vital
Van Dijk did fine for a guy who had been thrown in at the deep end. We just need to find the right partner for him now. When Mulgrew came back to us and played CB he was a revelation. Then we started messing about, left back, midfield etc. Get him back in the centre of defence with Van Dijk and give them a chance.
I agree Irvine but Lennon for some strange reason likes playing him in midfield in euro games
