I have stek. Not sure what his tm value is but being as buffon won't be injured this season I'm willing to trade him out
Didn't think Stekelenberg would have been taken myself to be honest. Thought his ratings may have dropped with his move to Fulham. Has he really been a key figure so far at Fulham? I've never seen him pull out a top save, in fact I hardly notice him playing and it's not as if Fulham's defence is the best in the PL at the moment.
I thought him and Amorebieta would be big hits at them this season, but they haven't done really.
De Sanctis has 8 clean sheet in 9 games and looks great this season, I'd rather have him at £17m than Muslera
Stek was injured for a few weeks so he's not gotten going yet. He's their new Van der Sar.
Steks a top keeper
Hope italy find a new buffon soon
I can name you a boatload that haven't been taken:
Wojciech Szczesny
Salvatore Sirigu
Rui Patrcio
Igor Akinfeev
David De Gea
Hugo Lloris
Steve Mandanda
Marc-André ter Stegen
Federico Marchetti
Stephane Ruffier
All top GK's for me. I know the one I'm getting.
I've got to release some players soon. Just don't know who yet. Really do need a top RB though so I'll be releasing a lot of back-up players and signing better one's.
De Gea , Lloris and ter Stegen are all taken according to the player database. I'd have gone for one of those three ahead of de Sanctis.
Francesco Bardi will soon be the new Italy GK for sure.
Mandanda, Akinfeev, Szczesny, Marchetti, Patricio and Ruffier all to go for. Although Ruffier's value isn't as good, I still find him a top class Keeper IMO.
Neve rated Mandana, Akinfeev or Marchetti. Szczesny is hot and cold. Patricio is average and Ruffier is okay. But not worth the money, whereas de Sanctis is as good as them all and a fraction of the price.
Tino, If you ever get any spare time throughout the day mate, could you just bumper up the Play Database page please as it's a little bit short and a few more players need adding on. Thank you.
Mandanda been one of Marseille's top performers consistently for the last 3 years. Akinfeev overrated. Marchetti had a good season last year. Patricio definitely deserves a move and has been in their top 3 of performers from day 1, Ruffier been consistent and is top quality and has been that way for a good 2 seasons+ now.
de Sanctis I don't rate all too well personally, slowly decreasing. Was good when he as younger, not as much now.
I've watched every Roma league game this season and de Sanctis hasn't looked this good since he was 22, 23 maybe. This is his Walter Zenga period.
Yer when I get home tomorrow ill get it done
Oh yeah sorry forgot you were on your jolly hols. Just like me, but I'm at home.
I must admit though, the Roma defence + himself have looked incredibly good this season, so consistent without Osvaldo, Stekelnberg or Lamela, how have they replaced them 3 in their squad and got them this consistent I'll never know.
I thought signing Ljajic was a waste of money, turns out it was Lamela who was the waste
Been loving Roma this season. I've always followed them, even in the days before Totti, and this resurgence I've waited years for. It's beautiful.
I do like Roma. Don't watch them as much as Juve but I do like them. Ljajic is a top player, I wonder how Fiorentina are going to cope without him and Jovetic.
Lamela needs to settle in at Spurs like the rest and then he'll get going. They do seem like a strong unit this season.
Just goes to show that proper coaching, with a proper plan and well-researched tactics, is what truly matters at the top. United beat out all their rivals comfortably last season despite having imo the 4th-best side on paper - Roma don't have the best on-paper side either (maybe 3rd behind Napoli and Juve), but they are streets ahead this season.
Good coach + good staff + good research = success
AVB doesn't fit the 'good coach' part, so Spurs won't be a success under him. And I'd argue that Pellegrini doesn't have the good research bit yet. Wenger gambles on the research, so I expect Chelsea to win the title.
That's a theory for you there. Not sure whether it's correct as I think plenty of factors are to look to when you think of the best managers. Sometimes I think it's about luck. If a manager prefers to play a certain way and it fits well with a team, that might be a way of getting 'lucky' with your plans.
My bet was Chelsea to win the title purely of the Mourinho factor.
The guy does his homework like the rest buthe always has quality in his bench.
That Chelsea 'reserve' team is better than United's first team. It's unbelievable really. How they fit that under FFP I don't know.
I also put a bet on Chelsea to win it and I agree, Chelsea's AM/WG options are so much stronger than United's.
Although United have top players like Rooney, Kagawa, Fellaini, Nani, Valencia, Young etc that can play there, Chelsea have Mata, Willian, Schurrle, Hazard, Oscar etc. There is unbelievable quality in that.
Will ffp ever really kick in?
Pleasantly surprised by liverpools start have a soft spot for them since childhood
Don't understand chelsea and lukaku was great at albion last year and has started well for everton
Loopholes galore.
They still have Lukaku in their books too
