I'm trying to think back to who the last perfect manager in the top division was. Probably someone like Bill Shankly or Bill Nicholson, although both were a bit before the time I started getting into football.

Salisbury - that's probably the tactics used rather than the players.

It augers well that the side can ride their luck and win.

IOB therefore every team that goes to the Nou Camp or Etiad Stadium should look good because they want it so much someone for got to tell Newcastle the script!

J didn't see the game Salisbury, but will later, maybe we were a shambles tonight, showing lack of discipline, naivety and Crawley came with a solid game plan , i dont know, but my point is that these games happen, and will again quite often.

IOB really so the Jacket says "run forward and leave us exposed no one needs to hold. By the way don't worry about first touch and passing either because its Crawley Town!"

Cinci watch it, replay it take the old gold glasses off and compare to the Crawley Town players. Night!

I don't know, SW. I was referring to the tactics used by Crawley, not Wolves.

Anyway - I have to turn in. Up the Wolves!

I guess the milk turned sour as his thread from half an hour ago has disappeared.

Bute, I will always give a fair and balanced opinion on games I actually watch. Tonight we started well, but lost it a bit during the first half. Crawley could and should have scored a couple of times, but squandered their chances.

There were a few players tonight who were below par and like it or not, they have to be named. I thought Davis and Evans were poor tbh.

I'm sure that the overall performance will not please KJ, although his press conference remarks will, I'm sure, not reflect his true feelings.

We will no doubt have more games like this and come away with the points.

On the balance of play a draw would have been a fair result, but I'll take the 3 points and hope that the idea of retaining a winning side, just because we have won 3 games, is set aside for the next match.

We didn't play that well tonight and if you think we did, then you watched a different match than what I did.

We have a decent enough squad to be able to rotate them depending on the next opponents.

Tonight I still feel we should have started McDonald in place of Evans.

We will play a lot better and get beat as well, such is footy.
The point was though Wolfie, about changing winnings teams, it wasn't so much the winning team bit but the fact we were also playing very well, Evans and Davis til tonight have been quality, and the only other feasible option was talking Doyle out but he also has been quality.
Now after tonight then maybe we will see McDonald get a start but it would be a great shame to me to see Evans, who would be the likely victim, dropped.

Squad rotation rarely works in the game, the best at clubs like ours with few options, has to start a majority of matches.

I'm up again. Cinci, it's noble of you to try and reason with Wolfie, but you should have learned by now, it's a futile exercise. Even when the team beat any one of an assortment of sides one might call the cream of the prem, it was "lucky", in his eyes!

Funny that Wolfie's rocking on his porch watching Crawley, Gillingham, etc., and thinking we're better off now than when he campaigned to remove our manager in the Prem.

Hey, that's football, and you're going to get a mix of fans and opinions, even misguided and damaging ones. Now, I must turn in again.

Anyone else sick and tired of BBC sport?

No hint of a wolves game tonight on the home page but i do know that lewanbleedindowski scored for dortmond and Monaco were toothless like I could actually give a s#%t?!?

All this elite carp now is driving me nuts and some fans just fall for it like lambs to the slaughter, Jesus we even talk about our clubs like we are holding the purse strings and NEED to be in the prem for financial reasons etc.

5Live, Talksport, Sky Sports News, BBC Sport Website -all bow to the power and the glory of the Premiership. Their never ending adverts for upcoming games bore the crap out of me.

Haven't read through the whole thread as life's too short, but noticed that wolfies was "harping-on" about KJ changing a winning team.

He did!!

Griffiths was dropped to the bench due to not training and Siggy brought in. Both players scored.

So, KJ changed when he thought change was needed.

That won't cut any ice in the world of Wolfie

scored for dortmond

*Dortmund

In America it probably is dortmond. A nation without identity will always try to undermine everybody else.
