Would a Canelo win be the biggest upset in the history of boxing?

No not even close

Name me some of the biggest upsets RGS.

I like Canelo, he's one of my favourite 10 fighters and in the top 10 P4P, but his style is just perfect for Floyd. I think a less talented fighter with a more dangerous style would a better chance against Floyd.

What do you rate his chances at? I say it's 85/15 in Floyd's favour.

Buster Douglas knocking out Mike Tyson springs to mind. Turpin over Sugar Ray Robinson and Tunney beating Dempsey back in the day. Spinks beating Ali.

I dont see anyone from 154 downwards beating Mayweather. 80/20 judges could rob Mayweather.

I think only Manny and Martinez at 154 would have a chance against him.

I Mayweather would never be robbed, he's probably the most politically connected boxer out there. If it's a close fight, Mayweather will get the decision. It won't be a close fight though. I expect Floyd to win by at least 4-5 rounds.

Manny has no chance especially now it will be a massacre. Martinez is a 160 pound middleweight.

I Mayweather would never be robbed, he's probably the most politically connected boxer out there.

He nearly got robbed against De La Hoya and Canelo is a future superstar and Mayweather is towards the end of his career. Manny got robbed against Bradley so it could happen.

Not for me, Manny could still take Floyd imo.

And I know Martinez fights at 160 generally, but he has had fights at 154 before. He has said he would come down to 154 to fight Manny or Floyd.

Manny hasn't got political power like Floyd though, he isn't American.

btw what's the capacity of the MGM?

Floyd only takes fights he knows he can win, that why we never saw him fight Pacquiao, Martinez, a Prime Cotto, Margarito or Paul Williams.

Canelo has a punchers chance early on and that is only if Floyd does not hit and run, but after about the 5th round that energy won't be there and Floyd will pick him off to a UD, Canelo maybe taking 3, 4 rounds max.

He simply doesn't have the footwork or the work rate to have the effective game plan.

Can't be bothered to watch these shows seen it all before, same formula to bring in the mugs.

Fighters like Golovkin don't need hype shows to sell their fights.

Think The Grand's capacity is 18-20k

Pacquiao ducked Mayweather, Diaz, Casamayor, Nate Campbell, Williams, Mosley when he looked a threat, Martinez, Klitschko, Haye. The list goes on and on.

Pacquiao feasting on come forward fighters again like Rios.

Respected Gunner Suarez,

You have to make up stuff.

Mayweather actually did ducked those fights

Floyd : I'm a coward but a rich coward.

Floyd's own words.

Clowns like you take Mayweathers sarcastic comments as gospel. People like you have to make stuff up and then twist it.

Maybe Pacquiao should have learned how to duck a punch in his last fight.

What are the weaknesses of the should roll?

posted on 25/8/13

The left hand, body shots.

Floyd don't like pressure, can't fight well on the inside.

Floyd likes them slow, poor footwork, low pressure.

It doesn't matter how big, young or how big a puncher they are, if they can't in position to hit you they are no danger.

Great can't wait to watch it......Pay homage to the greatest fighter of the last 25 years coming up against a young lion and fellow p4per.........

Great to see a top fighter taking on all the challenges available.........and great to see him taking on unbeaten climber like Canelo and not wasting his time on fighters who've lost their last two fights.....

I might even watch Mayweather-Marquez to get myself in the mood......What a schooling that was and great to see someone actually school JMM and not go canvas licking instead....

Come on Floydy do the business you're are the one great fighter left on the planet........

Floyd I salute you !!!

Andre Berto has started trying it

Thoughts on Pirog? I watched a few of his fights the other day, I was surprised by how skillful he was. Great movement, good movement and accurate. He's apparently gonna fight GGG in December. Why has he been out for so long? What kind of injury has he suffered?

Pirog and GGG were meant to fight last year but Pirog pulled out through injury.

Would be a great fight, but Pirog has been out for so long.

Have you seen Jacobs vs Pirog?

LESCARGO

Don't forget the tissues when watching it Truss.

posted on 25/8/13

Yeah, I watched Jacobs vs Pirog. Very impressed. He's very skillful. Great head and body movement. The Russian Andre Ward

I think GGG would KO him, but it would take longer than usual. Maybe in one of the late rounds.

Lara vs Trout should be a good one.

Canelo and his team ducked Lara like the plague, preferring to fight a blown up light-welter than fight Lara.

Lara is the top guy at 154lbs and would beat Floyd at the weight too.

posted on 25/8/13

Only seen Lara against Williams and Alfredo. He does look pretty good. Don't think he'd beat the though.
