Cesc will never be back at Arsenal. Sad reality

He had so many good moments. Never forget his home cameo against Villa. Scored two goals and were subbed injured again.

Cesc has had a handful of good games for Barca, put your boners away.

Schweinsteiger is a better midfielder. 'Best in the world'

Fab wouldn't even make my top 5 players in the world.

Fabregas is a Top Quality player. Arsenal need to use the condition on his contract that gives you first choice to sign him. Definitely recommend taking him back to fill the gap in your midfield. Arteta just doesn't cut it for me anymore.

Cesc started the season very well, also finished last season very well.

Just unfortunate for him that its the Iniesta or the Messi positions that he is more able to play his natural game.

But Messi and Iniesta are better. However Cesc is a much bigger goal threat than Iniesta so he should come into the manager thinking when Barca are expecting to play a tight hard game when goals will be at a premium.

Its just a shame that he cant do the Xavi role as thats were Barca really need him. Being able to rotate with Messi, Xavi and Iniesta would allow Barca to rest one of them every game keeping them all fit and fresh.

Disapointed that three games in the only one to have started all three games in midfield is Xavi, that cant happen again.

Agreed there Trojan. He did have a good start.

There were too many players in his position last season as well and there are still in an AM/CM role.

Messi, Iniesta, Song, Busquests, Thiago, Mascherano, Xavi were all in that midfield and only Thiago missing so it'll be difficult for him really.

by the end of his career Cesc will be greater than Xavi and Iniesta, Xavi only started getting credit when he was mid 20's and look what Cesc has done by that age, Iniesta looks good but is not as effective as Cesc.

Behave 8bit. At 24 Iniesta was widely considered one of the best players on planet earth and the best midfielder by many.

Iniesta is far more effective than Cesc. Maybe not in a goalscoring sense, but general creativity and ball retention, which what Barca are all about.

Barca will never appreciate esc quality, so I don't think he'll ever fulfill his full potential there. Don't think he'll spend the rest of his career there.

Xavi did not get the credit he was due mainly because world football at that time was obsessed with physical midfielders like Viera, Petit, Keane, Gattuso, Davids, Gerard, Essien and those types. Very few seen the need for players like Xavi who didn't score and didn't tackle and didn't really do anything except pass the ball.

Actually Gabriel Marcotti wrote an excellent article on It call ‘Coping with a lack of Pep’, substitute Xavi for Guardiola and you basically have the same thing at the same time. Its actually a sensational read as you look back to 10 year ago to how things have changed, also some tremendous quotes from Guardiola who was only 33 in great shape but no one wanted him.

Interestingly Marcotti evisited it after Guardiola himself as Barca manager changed football again, now passing midfielders are all the rage again.
