Arsenal fans brainwashed

I think Wenger has been brainwashed by the board into thinking he is still a success on the pitch when he is only a success at lining their pockets.

And he thinks we've been brainwashed because we think the squad is too thin and we need to sign some quality players to move forward. Also that they've left it too late in the transfer window to complete signings, I wanted to see them have time in pre-season to gel into the team before any competitive matches, but that cant happen now can it?

Personally I find his comments quite insulting.

Wenger out.

It's a load of bull.

8 years of the same repeated mistakes and another summer full of promise but no end result.

Brainwashed ?

8 YEARS without a trophy is just a blip,
4th is the now the new first,
Our squad is good enough to win the league.
We can't compete with certain teams in the transfer market, apparently that includes clubs like Spurs.

Who's brainwashing who Wenger ?

You so called fans have been brainwashed. 17 years of Champions League football is a phenomenal achievement. Wenger is the best thing to have happened to the club and idiots that want him gone will soon realise the grass is not alwasys greener. This is the first year we've kept our best players, the window is still open and we have the NLD in a matter of days so let's just support the team and you can go back to moaning and regurgitating the gibberish media poison next week.

Thatman we still DON'T have Champions League football
untill we beat Fenerbahce

He speaks the truth. Many people here don't have A mind of their own and are utterly dependant on what they read in the sun. Years without a trophy is one example. What other club in the history of english football have been victimised for not winning a trophy? Just because the media emphasise it so much it has dominated a lot of so called gooners minds to the extent we have a majority who would prefer to win a carling cup than finish top 4

We went from the invincibles to Wengers project and have not won anything since, not even the mickey mouse cup. If some of you are happy to accept that fall from the top without question that is up to you. Personally I have the intelligence to make up my own mind and its made up something is wrong at the club, we are kept in the dark about what really happens and are not successful any more by the standards that we have previously set.

"The grass isn't always greener" blah blah - do you AKBs think wenger is going to be in charge forever??? What are you going to do when he retires?? Suicide?

lol it's so irritating when people do this.. "You are welcome to your opinion but I am intelligent so I think otherwise" The implication being that anyone who thinks differently from you is stupid. Great way to debate...

Wenger doesn't realized that when you join the big boys with large stadia etc, the expectation also increases proportionally to the ticket prices.

Wenger has created this monster not the press.

Happy? No. Accepting that the premier league has changed since 2003/4? Yes.

Accepting that the club has wanted to run itself in a certain way to pay off debt? Yes. Accepting that this will inevitably impact the club's ability to get and keep the standard of player necessary to challenge? Yes.

Something is wrong at the club - why? Because they aren't the 03/04 team? Because they haven't signed anyone within minutes of the transfer window opening? I refer you to the previous paragraph.

As for 'we are kept in the dark about what really happens' - Jesus Christ! Show me any team, any business that splashes it's internal workings across the media. I'll wait....

I give you credit for the last line being correct, though you have obviously ignored or are ignorant of circumstances.

Skins, read what I said. I never insinuated that others dont have the intelligence to make their own minds up, only that I do although I will now question your intelligence as you dont seem to understand English. My point was made in response to Wengers comments about us being brainwashed and I said others can choose to believe what they want, but I have also decided.

I take it you are one of those people who just accept the situation without question then are you?

I think the issue with Wenger is that we don't share the belief in the present team as he does.

Sometimes when you are so close to the dressing room you lose objectivity. Wenger has lost that, not the fans. In previous years Arsene had a completely trusted voice in the boardroom who he would listen to in such matters. Scouts and agents are the worst people to listen to because they are always protecting their clients in the team.

The Villa defeat was our 100th loss since we last won a trophy. It isn't just 'one game'

The booing was about lack of spending and not that, I get the frustration with leaving it late but the most discontent was from deluded bells who think we won't be signing anyone.

posted on 26/8/13

8bit, I disagree. its nit just about the lack of spending, its about leaving spending too late and letting our rumoured targets go somewhere else because we didnt complete the deals.

It means the players can wait for a better offer to come along. Even Tottenham have been able to tie up their deals for players I doubt our negotiators could get to agree to join us.

Its also that players who join early have the opportunity to start getting to know the new team in pre-season and not having to come in a few matches into the season and start from scratch.

as a spurs fan I would love wenger to continue to brainwash certain fans and the board into thinking this current squad is good enough

The booing was pent up frustration released by fans who were unhappy with a defeat that could have been avoided if not for Wenger's negligence this Summer. If you can't see that, then you are brainwashed

Any team can lose a game like City proved yesterday, the team we put out was easily good enough to win and they should have. If the fans are p!ssed off we lost they should look at themselves as well and the pathetic support they gave.

RHSS just the kind of reply I expect from a fan like you. Stop parroting the media, actually take a step back and think about the position we are in as a club. This is the first real year we are allegedly able to strengthen, the window is still open. After the 1st September and providing support like you doesn't boo our players into a disappointing performance we can then assess the situation. Have some patience and a bit of positivity towards the club. At least for now

There is no club without the fans. Wenger and the players should respect that. Getting angry at the fans only shows that the manager and the club is failing as a whole.

Di Maria - I don't want to leave Real Madrid.

Benzema - Who is continuously booed by Madrid fans doesn't want to come to Arsenal

Suarez, Rooney - Doubt Arsenal.

However before the Aston Villa game, Suarez wants to join and willing to show discontent to do so. So what changed?

The Aston Villa game. Top players want a chance to win trophies as well as more 'money'. And when they see a nutcase like Chesney or players making simple mistakes against an average team like Aston Villa? Prospective players doubt! Thankfully we followed up with a superb result against Fenerbace.

The media feed on negativity. But its the performances and lack of ambition that creates it.

I get the Jenius but the anger is the build up of 8 years frustration, this is the first year we've had a big transfer budget. The discontent was because sections of the fans think Wenger/the board are stringing along the fans and don't intend to make quality signings. I understand that, people need evidence before they are convinced things have changed at the club. But I'm sure the club want to spend that money and they will do so i think the protests were down to being bombarded with media rumours every day and not having the patience to wait and see what happens. At the end of the day if we bring in a few quality players nobody will care that we signed them late.
