Always nice to hear of a win, but Stoke have got a pretty poor U21 side tbh.

Lost 10 of their 12 games last season, finished bottom of their group a massive 12 points adrift at the bottom.

Did you go to Molineux and watch the lads?

Wolves beating a Premier League side!!!! Must have been very lucky.

Quite an experienced U21 side with Foley, Elokobi, Forde and Cassidy, but a win's a win, however it is dressed-up.

Feel free to spread your delight here, on the under 21 league thread

No surprise at all that a certain other poster seeks to devalue the performance with Stoke stats from a previous season.

You can only beat what's put in front of you, and this certainly is a more than pleasing result.

How does the u21 format work?
Was this a league game or friendly?
Obviously I'm asking because we fielded several over 21s.

Cinci, it is a league with a play off at the end.

22 teams, play each other once. At the end of the 21 series of fixtures the top 4 go into play offs. 1 v 4, 2 v 3. Winners of this face each other in the final to decide champions.

...you have Fulham away on Friday.
Can you keep up the good form from today?

Premier League opposition again?

Well, my prediction is it'll either be a defeat, draw, or lucky win.

DJ- we'll turn Fulham over

========
About 85% of the teams in the U-21 league are PL teams...

Deej - In Wenger we still trust? My second favourite gunner (TBag) is less sure at the moment

How come we don't have any points if we beat Stoke?

posted on 26/8/13

Cyp, the table is from yesterday mate.

Tino, not really tbf. Not trusting what he will do in the next week. We have finally got rid of the last batch of bad buys in the main, hope we don't get in more.
Hopefully we will see Frimpong tomorrow night.

The Premier League site is awful for updating the U-21 info. Their league table still has most teams not playing at all, and missing results as well.

Frimps
Giroud seems to have started well. You just need to find a solid backbone for your team

We are always a couple of injuries/suspensions away from disaster. Our first XI + 3 subs is good enough to beat 15 of the PL teams, but how often do teams get to use their best 14. So we need 2 or 3 1st team players to give us a chance against the Uniteds and Chelseas, plus 3 or 4 squad players to get us through tough injury spells.

Would you welcome back Flamini?

Cheers D'Jeez.

Hurry-up and update it then.

Tino - wasn't really a fan first time round. Rather we didn't, but if he comes I will support him and hope for the best.

Cyp, it is terrible isn't it I will add Wolves points just for you!
