really interesting these three, I have also heard rumours we are interested in Becchio, from Norwich.
my only concerns for the three mentioned are,
Leadbetter and Morgan, are both integral to their respective clubs, and Sako is just far too much money for a League one player, I believe 4 million has been mentioned, can't see us breaking our transfer record for a League one player.
Becchio doesn't appear to be in Norwich's plans, and we were linked with him in one of the other transfer windows, before he went from Leeds to Norwich.
Of the three/four, I think Billy wants Leadbetter the most, as he probably sees him as a new type of Paul McKenna, obviously one of Billys favourites from his last stint at the CG,
good article though.
I don't think we need Morgan. Assuming Hobbs and Wilson stay fit, they are a better partnership than Morgan and one other would be.
I'd love for us to sign Sako, I agree £4mill does sound a bit steep though. £2mill is more realistic.
Ledbitter would be a good signing, but would this mean goodbye to Pep .. Apparently a few Prem clubs are sniffing.
Yes if Hobbs and Wilson stay fit, beyond that I don't rate our strength at CB it also gives King Billy the option to play 3 at the back if he wants. He is definitely wanting Leadbitter for sure would Pep go? I am not sure. Get rid of Gillett and Moose, Sako would be good though. King Billy certainly want quality through the squad they are leaving nothing to chance here...they are going for it for sure.
I think that Pep's problem is that at the moment he is a square peg in a round hole. I don't think the holding midfielder position suits his natural attacking tendencies and so therefore a player such as Leadbitter would be a better fit for the position.
The problem then is that if he isn't a holding midfielder, where do you play him? I don't think he would be a great winger, and Raddi is the best creative central midfielder we have - not to mention Lansbury. I am wary of saying it, but if we could get Leadbitter for a similar fee to the one we receive from a Premier league club, it would keep the FFP boys happy and give us a better balanced side.
Having said that, I think we would miss the power and passion that Pep brings to the party. Bit of a dilemma really!
Also, if Pep were to go, would Abdoun stick around?

4m for sako, 3m for leadbitter, 2m+ for morgan. To say we've done alot of good deals so far, the money talked about now is pretty extortionate.
2m+ is alot for CB cover, we've got enough LW/LCM players, The only player i'd really want is Leadbutter but if the offer is really 3m then they can jog on.
Geddy is a good tackler, but a poor passer, which is odd because further upfield he has no problem. Bringing leadbitter in though would mean we can stop holding onto gillet and moussi. Flog them off and books are level with a better player and that competition can only be good for the both of them and add more defensive steal away from home.
Wheres this out and out striker we're supposed to be after? Surley thats what we need right now?
I really hope we don't sign becchio. His goal scoring record ain't that great apart from his last year at Leeds where he scored as many as he had in 3 previously in league 1. He's not particularly quick either. I personally don't think that he's any better than black stock, and what he offers would be no different. We need pace, as well as a finisher. Someone in the earnie mould. Maynard just might be the one.
Really hope we don't spend that kind of money on Wes. Would like to see Lascelles get some game time, and surely Halford and Collins are adequate cover. If not, get someone on loan.
I don't think leadbitter would mean the end of Pep. Him and Raddi could share a role - don't see lightweight Raddi playing every game.
As for Sako, don't know enough about him. But for 4mill I'd want someone who has scored 20 odd goals more than once, not someone who just went down to League 1.
^^^
Agree with all of that. We have two top centre halves plus 2/3 players to cover. It would be odd to buy Wes now unless we are selling Collins. Even then, we would have to keep the three of them happy which would be impossible.
If we sign Leadbitter then it would free Pep to move forward and we saw last season that Raddi goes through periods of form and there will be times when he needs replacing. He won't start 40 games in a season and I'm sure Pep would relish playing further forward.
I disagree. Why worry about having big wes back? Look at Chelsea and Utd's benches. The only way back is by having a strong squad with loads of options and possibilities for rotation. How can some fans be so precious about any player in any position after 3 games?
Man Utd and Chelsea are slightly different - they've got a hell of a lot more money to work with. If money was in no way an object then I'd welcome Wes back with open arms. Also, players are likely to sit on Utd and Chelsea's bences happilly, safe in the knowledge that they're getting 50k a week and probably some kind of medal at the end of the season. Not the case at any Championship club.
3m for lead bitter seems very dear, its not even the nicest tasting metal. Why do we want booze on the pitch anyway. Is it to tempt the opposition away from the game?
We could spend this on twinbacks!!!!
Spot on Kippers. It seems a dreadful waste of money. Its like buying a tin of soup for 89p, when you can get 3 for £2.50. The extra saving could buy a crusty loaf.
Is there any point to your existence?
Illumination. When Kippers says 'goals' our players ask 'how many?'.
The transfer window closes in less than a week so if we are signing anyone else we'd better get a move on.
If it is about clubs waiting until the last minute for the most money, then I'd rather see one big spend on a forward than more midfielders or defenders.
Agreed Al-Forest. We have a lot of variety in the team, like a cupboard stacked with all 57 varieties of heinz. We just need something up top to finish it all off, like croutons.
I'm afraid we are at home tonight shd. Do you expect us to get some of our fringe players in the shop window to help fund our bid for wes 'the ladel' morgan? I think thwre are a few in our ranks that could do a decent job elsewhere.
Stoat often goes away, perhaps he we will go away with you?
Rush Kippers = insectinthetrent
Welcome back!
Bid gone in for Sako according to Sky Sports.

Don't know Rev can play wing or Forward, does score but is not prolific. Think Fulham put in a bid for 2.5 mil and that was rejected, reckon wolves want £4 M, what they want and get is two different things
