Tbf Vela looks a good player at Sociedad
Shame he never took the ball with him after he finished them ha ha
Robinho
---
Massive transfer, the huge statement of intent. The player who was basically City saying "Look at us, we've got the money to buy a top Brazillian forward"
Never really did much.
Rooney
However it was always going to be difficult to live up to the hype for him. The media set him up to 'fail'

What happened to that Japanese kid who Arsenal fans convinced themselves was the next Ronaldo?
Giovanni Dos Santos, Bojan, Rodwell, Bendtner, Lupoli, Merida, Reyes.
Thudd I'm surprised that you know how football is played
Robinho
Pato
Messi
Saviola
Joaquin
Arguably even Rooney
---
The media might have gone well overboard over Joaquín when he was younger, but in fairness he's done very well everywhere he's been - Betis, Valencia, Malaga. 32 now, but I'm interested to see what he's got left in him and how he gets on at Fiorentina.

Betis paid about 21m for him and was a record if I recall.
Rooney, Rui Costa, Robinho, Rabiu Ibrahim
Del Horno (£8m), Shevchenko(£30m), Torres(£50m), Veron(£15m), Zhirkov(£18m), Wright-Phillips(£20m).
Our biggest flops add up to £141m holy cow.
How about another famous Welshman Ian (I could not settle in Italy it was like living in a foreign country) Rush...
