It could either way really although I suspect that Eto´o will be more hit than miss.

Even if he turns out to be a flop then it´s not as if we´ve had to break the bank to sign him.

For that reason I think it´s a clever signing.

Chop and change with Lukaku. He'll do a decent job and he loves scoring important goals. Far superior to Ba and Torres in my opinion.

Yeah agree with you lads, especially the fact it was basically a free transfer (£2m I think) and a 1 year deal, I feel more confident now than I did before the season started regarding our striking options though, doubt he will be a Van Persie signing though...

Rotate Eto´o with Lukaku seems like a good idea.

At least that way we´ll see a lot less of Torres this season and hopefully that gives him the inititative to leave next summer.

I am happy to wait and see. Ba looked likely to be 3rd choice this season so even if Eto'o flops horrendously, we won't exactly be much worse than we would have been had we not taken the gamble.

This is how I see it as well, in which case we have more to win than we have to lose by signing Eto´o.

With Rooney it was the other way round which I´m happy we didn´t sign him.

I think Torres can still do a decent job, albeit not scoring goals just changing the dynamic of our attack when it's not going our way.

Yeah Torres will stay play a part but I´m assuming it will now be a much reduced part and that can´t be a bad thing.

i would like to see it this way eto start against the top 6 sides, lukaku against the so called lesser premier league sides and torres to be used as an impact sub and in cup games against weaker sides!!

Will be a great signing. His goal scoring record is immense

Decent outlook there Zidane. Problems only arrive if Lukaku starts mauling the so called lesser teams. Still a bit more competition is never a bad thing.

Could work out well for you guys.

Do you see him starting most games in the first 11 or on the bench?

if you think Torres can do a decent job, youve not seen enough of him on the pitch im afraid!

Eto is a world class african footballer one of the best african players ever FACT !

Jose would Not bring in a DUD at this point !

Good signing. I trust Jose with this 1. Plus on a free. Good set of business

As long as we see less of Torres this season, I will be happy.

hopefully this will spell the end for one of Torres and Ba

Delighted he's finally come to the PL. Hopefully he'll still show his class. Being 32 never hindered Drogba!

Weird to see him in journeyman mode, but he is class.
He hasn't had injury troubles since leaving Inter has he ??
